"Come on Dev! Hurry up or we're leaving you to starve!" my brother calls me out.

Tonight was family night, we used to have it all the time when my mom was alive. We had a bit of a falling out after the funeral but my dad wanted to make sure we still had it for her sake. Now we are going out to eat with my uncle and his family, so we can make it a bigger group tonight.

"Ha- Ha very funny," I say as I walk into the kitchen.

"Come on, lets go before world war III starts between you two," my dad jokes.

When we arrive at the restaurant, they were already there waiting for us. We walk in looking for our table. When we spot it, they wave us over. I was about to hug my cousin Miranda but before I could, I end up crashing into someone else who obviously didn't see.

"Sorry," I hear a rough voice say.

I look up and see it's that new guy from school, that saved me from Jordan. Well he at least momentarily stopped her but I know she's coming after me soon, I know it.

"M-my bad," I stutter.

"Dev, is their a problem?" my brother asks me.

I nod my head but he doesn't relax one bit. You know how brothers get with guys and their sisters, Especially little sisters.

"Come on," David tugs on me and pulls me away from the guy, without breaking eye contact.

"It's nice seeing you again," the new guy says before he disappears to his table.

"Who is that?" my aunt looks at the guy from school with wide eyes.

"Just someone from school," I quickly dismiss.

"Just someone? So he's not taken?" Miranda smirks.

"Ew, your'e older," I point out.

"And you have me," Luis her boyfriend grumbles.

"I'm talking about you," she chuckles and Luis visibly relaxes.

"Uh, no thanks. I'm fine," I scrunch my nose.

"Don't look now but he's staring at you," she says smugly.

"What," I quickly turn around and sure enough he was looking at me intently.

I physically freeze and he smirks. Slowly I turn around and try to ignore him for the rest of dinner. It didn't take long to eat, service was fast here. All throughout dinner Luis and my brother were talking, my dad and uncle were in their own conversation most likely about football or something. Miranda, my other cousins Meghan, Mia and Melissa were in a conversation with my aunt. Occasionally I would talk but they mostly talked about college, boyfriends and actors that my aunt thought she would have a chance with if she ever became single again. The whole time I felt eyes on my back, I didn't dare turn around because I knew that drool worthy boy would be looking, waiting to smirk at me.

"All right then we've got to go, business calls unfortunately," my uncle gets up to go.

They had a family meeting for work to attend to but my uncle liked to make time for his little brother and his family.

We say our goodbyes and it's just David, my dad and me. My uncle had already paid for dinner which my dad wasn't too happy about so we were leaving right after my brother and my dad attacked the ice cream bar.

"I'll meet you by the exit," I say to them as we separate in our own ways.

I wait patiently for them to eat by the door, looking very awkward.
