"We seriously need to go bowling again, I think you have improved," Damien praises.

"I had fun, but I'm pretty sure I still suck. You don't want to play with someone who sucks," I scoff.

"Nonsense! I don't mind, I still had fun," he chuckles.

"Wow, okay so I do suck?"

"I didn't say that," he points out.

"But you also didn't say that I don't suck," I fire back.

"Touché," he laughs.

"Alright then I guess we can try it again sometime," I shrug.

"You give me the time and I'll make it," he smiles.

"Well this is your stop, malady," he opens the door to my math class.

"Why oh why math!" I grumble.

"I see you're not a big fan of math," he chuckles.

"It's like learning Japanese," I roll my eyes.

"Well maybe I can help, but remember if someone gives you a hard time in there, you will tell me," he narrows his eyes at me.

"Bye Damien," I roll my eyes.

I push him away and he chuckles. He waves his hand over his head as he walks away and shakes his head.

I turn and grimace at the class. The bell hasn't rung yet so their wasn't many in the class. I quickly walk to the back, where hopefully no one would bother me right as the bell rang. People start walking in, taking their seats. I was about to sigh in relief when Jordan didn't walk in, she would sit in the back just to bother me usually. Today, she didn't come in and everyone just ignored me.

Today is going to be perfect.

...

"What? Why?" I pout.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, I have to go they have an emergency conference and I'm going to represent the company," my dad explains as he packs.

"Why you? Why not someone else?" I complain.

"Why not me?" he chuckles.

"Because I want you to stay," I stomp my foot.

"Devoni you will be okay, you have your brother to take care of you. I will be back in two weeks," he kisses my forehead.

"Does it have to be all the way in New York?" I huff.

"I'm sorry but who is going to pay for all of this," he chuckles.

"Fine, but call me as soon as you land," I roll my eyes.

"What about the time difference?" he raises an eyebrow.

"Fine! Don't call me at all!" I throw my hands in the air and leave his room so he could finish packing.

You're probably wondering why I'm so clingy with my dad. I actually am not like this but I don't have anything better to do. I don't have friends to hang out with and it's not like I go out. My dad calling would be the highlight of my day. Wow, that is very sad.

"Why are you so clingy?" David scrunches his nose.

"Because I have nothing better to do," I take a seat next to him on the couch.

"You are so boring, go hang out with that guy," he rolls his eyes.

"That guy has a name and I don't have his number," I huff.
