"Oh my gosh! This is Amazing!" I exclaim."I know!" Damien says with his mouth full of food.
Damien and I went to the local festival, they had stands with all kinds of food, carnival rides and games. I wasn't hungry but he would insist on me trying the food, reluctantly I accepted.
I was actually enjoying myself and it wasn't awkward between us at all, which is a first because I always somehow find a way to make things awkward all the time.
"We have to get on the rides, come on!" He pulls me along.
We get in line for one of the rides. As we wait, I get to witness him devour what was left of his food.
I giggle but scrunch my nose in disgust.
"Whuh?" He says, his voice muffled from the food.
"If you throw up, make sure it's not on me," I shake my head.
"No promises," he says when he finally swallows it all down.
The line starts moving up and as we get closer I start getting nervous.
"What's wrong? Are you scared of heights?" He says with concern written all over his face.
"N-no, it's just I've never been here so technically I've never gotten on a ride," I say sheepishly.
"Don't worry, you'll like it. Unless you have motion sickness or you are scared of heights," he shrugs.
"Well, we'll find out right now," I sigh.
"Next time we go out, you choose what to do," he smiles.
"Uh, I think you can handle that part just fine," I avoid looking at him.
"No, it's not fair. You should get to choose to go somewhere you like," he chuckles.
"But I like what you choose and you most likely will not like what u choose," I frown.
"I'm sure I will like whatever you choose, now come on," he takes my hand when the guy opens the gate so we can take a seat for the ride.
Damien pulls me all the way to the end. I shrug and try to get on but the seat was too high for me.
"Need help?" He tries to hold in his laughter.
"No," I huff as I continue to try and get on the seat.
I jump but to my dismay I wasn't able to get on.
"Here," Damien chuckles.
He grabs me by my waist and lifts me effortlessly onto the seat. He pulls down the security thing that locks so you don't fall off the rides that go upside down.
'Wait upside down!'
"Uh D-Damien d-does the ride g-go u-upside down?" I gulp.
