Well here it is. This is what you have been waiting for. Enjoy!

Devoni's POVI waited patiently while the doctor took my dad outside the room to talk to him. I was still in bed, unable to move at all. I could hardly keep my eyes open. David was by the door, listening to the conversation and looking at me to make sure I was okay.
By now I had given up on talking. It hurt and I wasted too much energy. Plus my voice is raspy like a person who is addicted to smoking. It scared the hell out of me.
I adjust my beanie that Holly tried to make. It was going to be a sleeve but she closed one of the holes so now it's a long beanie.
"Sweetheart, are you okay?" My dad asks when they both walk in.
I looked suspiciously at my brother because he was avoiding eye contact.
"Never been better," I eye them both suspiciously.
"The doctor said you are doing fine, we are making progress," my dad suppresses a smile as he sits next to me.
"Really," I look at him dubiously.
"Don't worry, you're doing just fine," he kisses my forehead.
"Dad has to go to work and so do I but I'll be back by 1:00," David says.
"You don't have to come back, it's going to be 1 in the morning for crying out loud. Just go home, please I will be fine,"I practically beg them.
"No Dev, I'm coming back," he nods.
"David, it doesn't help me to see you like this. Go to work and stay home after that," I say.
I look at him in the eyes, like if we were having a silent stare off.
"Fine," he gives in.
"Good, I'll see you guys tomorrow,"I smile for the first time in a while.
When they both leave it was already late. Most of the staff had already left, so the hallways weren't as busy as they usually are during the day.
I was contemplating whether to try and get up to go walking but I could hardly keep my eyes open, much less walk.
I felt awful today, I haven't been doing so well and I know that I'm sick. When the doctor came in to talk with my dad I knew immediately.
This wasn't like other times when I could walk, talk and move. It was like I was slowly weakening and shrinking until I am completely dead.
'What is the matter with me?'
I was about to close my eyes when I heard the door being pushed open with a strong force.
"Sir, you cannot be here," the nurse says.
I look and see Damien at the door with the nurse behind him, completely out of breath.
'What is he doing here? How did he find me?'
The heart monitor was beeping rapidly as I looked at him with wide eyes. I put my hand up to tell the nurse it was okay.
She nods and closes the door behind her. It's quiet, the only sound was from my monitor and from Damien trying to control his breathing.
He stood there frozen, probably shocked.
I looked at my hands, blushing furiously of embarrassment because of my state.
