"Are you ready?" Damien looks at me.

We were in his car, he picked me up for my first day back at school. We were parked but I didn't dare make a move to get out.

"Everything will be okay, remember nobody will hurt you," he takes my hand and I feel a little wave of confidence come over me.

I nod and slowly open the door.

We walk to the entrance hand in hand. I was starting to feel good but then people noticed and they started talking.

"She's back."

"I thought she died?"

"Didn't she go on vacation or something?"

"Watch Jordan snap her in half again."

I was looking down, unable to face them. Damien squeezes my hand, letting me know that he's here to stay with me. I smile at him, thanking him silently.

We continue walking but this time with my head held high.

'I can do this.'

As we walked to my locker, people still have me puzzling looks. I was silently praying Jordan hadn't come to school today but, luck is never on my side.

I put my stuff in my locker and took what I needed. When I slammed the door shut, I turned and she was starring at me.

I didn't know whether it was shock or if she was hiding her rage. I gave her a weak smile and let Damien lead me to my first class.

"I'll come and pick you up, wait for me when the bell rings," he says when we are at the door.

"Actually, I think I'll be fine on my own. I'll just meet you at lunch," I smile.

"Nope, not an option," he shakes his head.

"I'll be fine," I shrug.

"Dev, I made you a promise and I'm not going to make another mistake and let you go. I will pick you up," he looks at me dead serious.

"Just for today, if anything bad happens I'll tell you and you can follow all you want," I bargain.

"I am not taking that risk," he refuses.

"Please, it's my first day and I don't want to make this even more awkward," I pout because I know he will give in.

"Don't even bother, you have given me that face way too many times," he chuckles.

"Ugh fine," I scowl.

"Wait," he pulls me back when I am about to enter my class.

I was about to reply but he didn't give me a chance because he kisses me. It was short but he took my breath away.

"Damien," I complain.

"What?" He looks at me innocently.

"Not here," I cross my arms.

"How am I supposed to let them know that you're mine," he pouts.

"You know being possessive is not a good trait," I smirk.

"Well it's a good thing I am not all entirely a good person," he shrugs.

"Yeah right," I laugh.

"It's true, this morning I drank straight from the carton," he whispers in my ear.

I couldn't help but laugh at his so called rebellious move and go to class.

'I got my self a weird boyfriend, probably weirder than my brother.'
