Have you ever found yourself captivated by a jubilant moment with someone that it feels as if you've accomplished a certain level of happiness that you thought you can never experience?

Or have you ever been captivated by a mesmeric sight that only draws you in deeper than you already were?

I have.

Especially in this point when I knew I would regain that highly accomplished happiness within a few moments.

In only a few moments.

His slightly plump lips wore a million watt smile as he walked in through those vanilla colored doors, ocean blue eyes almost jumped out of his sockets at the surprising amount of people who welcomed him after being gone for almost 8 months.

And although the room roared with different voices, I couldn't help but feel that in that very room it had only just been us. Standing there. All alone.

I wanted to so badly run into his arms.  To feel his arms around me.

Taking step after step closer towards the blonde, curly haired figure...I was stopped in my tracks immediately after a light haired, slender girl approached through that door seconds after he did. She had a warm smile etched across her lips, waving at everyone as she walked toward him. Her arm locks around his arm, immediately drawing his attention to her. He places a quick kiss on her forehead, another on her nose before his lips had finally connected with hers.

My heart...it felt as if it had been snatched from my chest and crushed to minuscule bits all within a small time frame. Slowly I felt as if my face had drained itself of all the lively colors it had contained.

"Emma!" My name was voiced out and my eyes roamed across the room and linked with my best friend's pair of blue eyes. My breath hitched at my throat when Jack got ahold of his eyes on me after Luke had called out for me. I swiftly turn around and ignore his call, only hoping to rush out from the living room area and away from the situation. I run up the stairs and into Luke's room, quickly locking the door behind me and almost immediately my back rested against the door; all while small sets of exhalation were released from my mouth.

By this time, all I wanted to do was leave this house. This house where I knew I was bound to somehow bump into him. But mixed in with my desires of leaving, my mind had also gone on a journey of recollections I had with Jack in the last few months before he had left to Wisconsin for his internship.

We never had given each other a title but somehow I felt he knew we did, I mean after all we shared many fond memories together. Many moments of which I cherished and thought he did too...

"Jack stop it!" I managed to yell as his hands continued to strike my sides, "Please stop!"

I hear him laughing, as he continued tickling me, "Only if you give me a kiss,"

In between laughs and flipping and flopping as I tried to escape his hands, I managed to speak, "I-I will."
