Friday morning, Bethany got up feeling slightly dazed, but she ignored it and took a shower and blew dry her hair. She threw her wavy hair up into a ponytail and did her make-up. She wore a white deep Hollister v-neck that said HOLLISTER in pink and So Cal. in navy blue. She put on some ripped super short denim jeans and her tan Sperry's. She grabbed her purse and book-bag and headed to school.

She pulled up about the same time as Lizzie and Jennifer, and they walked up to Molly together.

"So," Bethany began when they were in their group. "I've found out who I'm taking to Homecoming!"

"Who?" everyone asked.

"Tyler Perry," she said, smiling triumphantly.

Gasp, "What'd he say?" Jennifer asked.

"I haven't asked him yet," Bethany replied.

"Well maybe you should ask him before you tell everyone you're going with him," Lizzie said in a hard voice. Bethany turned on her with her eyebrows raised.

"Excuse me?" she asked.

"Lizzie has a crush on him. She was going to ask him," Molly informed everyone.

"Aw! Why didn't you tell me, Liz?" Bethany asked, sounding apologetic.

Lizzie softened. "Well, I didn't want to get everyone's hopes up."

"Well I won't go with him. As a matter-o-fact, I'll go get him to ask you," Bethany squealed excitedly.

"Really?" Lizzie smiled.

"Def!" Bethany replied.

"That's so sweet, Beth!" Molly said.

"Oh, you know," Bethany said, and with a flip of her hair, she was walking to the tall dark haired Tyler. "Hey, Tyler!" she called, smiling flirtatiously and waving.

"Hey Bethany," he replied in a deep voice, smiling.

"So, I was wondering if you already have a date for Homecoming?" she asked, smirking.

"Actually, no," he said.

"Well, I don't either. And I was also wondering if you'd like to go with me?"

"Yeah, that'd be great!" he said.

"Awesome! So, we'll talk later?" she asked, smirking at him.

"Yeah. See you later," he said as she sauntered away.

"Ohmigosh, Liz! I'm so sorry but as soon as I walked up, he was like will you go with me? And I just can't say no! I really hope you're not mad at me! Please don't be," Bethany pleaded.

"No. I'm not mad at you," Lizzie said in a monotone voice. She smiled, but Bethany could tell she didn't believe her. She could also see the tears sparkling in Lizzie's eyes.

Margaret walked downstairs in dark denim jeans and a white tight tank top with pink-cream-ish bows on the right shoulder and neckline. She was wearing white corkscrew wedges, and her legs looked amazing. She had thick, long black lashes, sparkle-liner, gold sparkle-y eye shadow, and pink lip gloss. She had her black Ray Bans on her head and she looked really good. For some, odd reason, everyone was in the kitchen waiting for her: Peter, her mother, and her father. When they saw her they all smiled and exchanged a look. She stopped on the third step to the last.

"What?" she asked wearily.

"Do you remember that surprise we told you about earlier this week?" her mom asked.

"Yeah... and he got here yesterday..." Margaret was very confused.

Her father shook his head. "Peter's not the surprise, silly!"
