Chapter EightOh my God.
Is this really happening?
Warm lips.
My eyes widened as my mind processed on what was happening. I immediately placed a hand on his chest and pushed him away.
Brown orbs met my gaze and I can see regret forming in his features. His eyes were wide and his mouth agape.
It was our turn to get out and I immediately started walking, leaving Liam behind.
"Ashley—"
I didn't listen. I kept on walking. Trying to find some place. Somewhere where I can be alone.
"Ashley, could you hold on a minute." His voice is close now, but I don't stop.
A calloused hand clasped over my hand, stopping me from my escape. Spinning me around, Liam was staring down at me. His eyes held something, but then I can't figure out what is it. The wind messed up his hair, making it disheveled but he still looked good.
Damn boys.
"Can we talk about what just happened for one second." Liam says as he takes a deep breath.
My eyes looked everywhere but him. I could run again, but I didn't.
"Ashley, please look at me."
When my eyes met his, I just stood still. Doing nothing.
"Look, I'm sorry for kissing you, but you do know it was an accident right?" Liam groaned as he rubbed the back of his neck. "The cart jerked forward, and then..." he paused. "you know the rest."
"I'm sorry too." I looked down. "I didn't mean to react like that. I guess I was caught off guard."
His thumb and finger touched my chin, letting me meet his gaze. "No need to be." he then leaned forward and whispered in my ear. "But I know that the next time that happens, it'll be amazing."
My cheeks started to flush as he said this. I stepped back a bit, creating some space. "We should go back to them. They're probably looking for us right now since we didn't spend the whole day together as a group."
A shy smile formed it's way on Liam's lips. "You're right." He adjusted the bag filled with prizes on his left hand and offered me his right arm. "Shall we?"
Knowing that we're back to normal, I gripped his bicep and walked beside him. "Of course."
••••••••••••••••••••••
"Where have you guys been!? We've been looking everywhere!" Monica stopped right in front of Liam and I.
Liam brought up the bags to show Monica. "We kind of raided the game booths, so..." he shrugged.
