I woke up to suddenly being airborne, when I realised I wasn't. Luke was just abnormally tall and was carrying me up the stairs. I was too sleepy to see who's house we were at.
He set me down on a comfy bed inside the first room on the floor. I shut my eyes and pretended to still be asleep. I don't know why I did that. I think pretty much everyone does that.
There were a few moments of absolute silence, where I detected no movements from him. Which meant that he was still standing right in front of me.
He crouched down to my level. I fought to keep my eyes shut. I wanted to see his eyes, but I refrained.
I felt a hand gently stroke my hair, moving it away from my face. Then, he bent forward and pressed his lips to my temple, letting it linger there for a few moments.
Until I felt something moist on my cheek. And they weren't my tears; so they were Luke's.
My eyes shot open, and I looked around blearily. I saw Luke pull back, rubbing his eyes trying to cover up any evidence that he was crying. But he couldn't, my cheek was still damp at that one spot.
Without saying a single word, I just hugged him. Sometimes, an action can speak much louder than words. A hug would help a person in a situation like this more than any number of words could.
He hugged me back, his body slightly trembling. Then he began to sob into my shoulder, and I just rubbed his back.
He pulled away and looked into my eyes, as though he were searching for something. I smiled, and he smiled back in return. We didn't need words.
This moment was beautiful, and I felt infinite. Until, Cooper decided to interrupt us.
So we were probably at Cooper's place. I was just too distracted to have comprehended it until then.
"Hey, I made you some hot choc-" he stopped mid-sentence when he saw how close we were sitting to each other.
We moved away from each other, Luke offering him a sheepish smile. I, on the other hand, just straight out murdered him with my glare.
Cooper, ladies and gentlemen. The bozo who ruined a perfect moment.
Cooper smiled merrily, and set the hot chocolate down and sat with us. He was doing this on purpose; he was doing this because he wanted to annoy me.
And damn, it was working.
I tried to tell him to get out, but he wouldn't have any of that.
"So, Bec. You're going to have to be the translator here."
I rolled my eyes. This boy.
I whipped out my phone and texted Luke.
:Hey. Cooper wants to talk to us. Can I make a group chat?:
He texted back immediately. Well, he saw me typing.
:Sure.:
I added Cooper to a chat. Now, the torture.
See, when Cooper wants to annoy me, he'll text like a stereotypical white blond schoolgirl. And that pisses me off.
C: hi! im cooper, her bff. wbu?:
B: I hate you.
