I groaned as someone shook me awake. I tossed and snuggled into my pillow, sighing.

But no. Something shook me again. And again. And again.

I shot up and thrashed out, my eyes still half-closed. I waved my arms around, blindly trying to find the person shaking me. All of a sudden, I was enveloped in a warm cocoon, and I inhaled the scent.

Luke.

Okay that was stalkerish. I could tell that it was Luke by the way he smelled. What even?

I looks around to see that- no, I wasn't in bed- we were still in the park, and lying on the grass. My skin was starting to itch.

Luke stood up and offered his hand. I took it and pulled myself up, brushing off grass from myself, and then proceeded to do the same to Luke.

'Home?' I asked him. He shook his head and smiled, his lip ring glinting as it reflected off the moonlight. God, he looked perfect.

My bare feet sunk into the cool sand, and my skin prickled with the humidity. I held my shoes in one hand, and Luke's hand with the other. A breeze blew forward as we walked towards the water, whipping my hair forward.

I had never been to a beach before at night, and apparently I was missing out. It was deserted, and the weather was beautiful. The scene looked so serene. At least, from what I could see if it since I'd decided to leave my hair free and it was now blocking my view by flying around my face.

Luke led me to a spot not too far from the water, and we could see the water reflect the moonlight. He spread out a blanket, and pulled me down to sit with him.

I faced him, his eyes capturing me completely. He smiled, his dimple looking deeper in the dim lighting. His hand reached up to caress my cheek, as he continued smiling at me.

This moment was enough to tell me that he was what I'd been waiting for. It wasn't Liam, it wasn't anyone, except him. I really, really liked this boy sitting in front of me, his legs crossed and his hand still stroking my cheek.

He leaned forward and placed a kiss right next to my lips, his lips soft and barely brushing against my skin. My eyes fluttered shut, and both his hands cupped my face.

He pulled back for a second, abruptly. I opened my eyes in confusion, looking at him concernedly. He bit his lip, his teeth fiddling with the lip ring. His eyebrows furrowed, he opened is mouth, then closed it. He opened his eyes, then looked to meet my eyes.

Something had changed. He looked so troubled, like he might just fall apart. He pulled his phone out from his back pocket, and began typing desperately.

My phone 'ping'ed, and I pulled it out, confused.

L: There is so much I want to say to you. But I can't. And it's horrible. Knowing that I can't tell you any of that.

My heart stopped in my chest when I looked up to see Luke, looking down at is lap.

Without a word, I tilted his chin up. His eyes were brimming with tears, and he seemed to be mentally beating himself up.

'We don't need our voices.'

My hands fell into my lap, as Luke looked shocked. Without a second's thought, I leaned forward and connected our lips.
