L: Be ready in 20, I'm picking you up :-) xx
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... Luke Hemmings.
This was what I'd been greeted to at 6PM that day, after bringing Rose home. She was now sound asleep in her room, even snoring. Mum had taken Rory out to the carnival, which was in town because it was summer.
I was in a pair of boxer shorts and the loosest t-shirt you could possible find, sitting on my bed, and devouring a sandwich and chocolate milkshake.
Great.
B: ...
L: 18 minutes now, times-a-tickin' :-p Oh, and wear something kinda casual and comfortable, like jeans and boots or something like that :-)
B: Fine -.-
Luckily, I had a fairly good idea of what to wear. From all those times Angie had dragged me to parties, I had an outfit from the last time I'd gone.
(A/N- outfit she wore is the picture attached, without the bag :-)
I didn't put on any makeup, since I neither had no intention of doing so nor did I have the experience or knowledge or the supplies to apply it.
20 minutes later, I pushed the front door of my house open softly so as to keep Rose from waking and closed it without making a sound as I stepped out of it. I'd already called my mum and told her that I was going out with a friend. Sort of. I left the 'sort of' part out, though.
I looked up to see a smiling a Luke wearing a flannel shirt, black skinny jeans, and hands shoved into his pockets as he smiled at me.
He stepped forward and enveloped me in a bone-crushing hug. I buried my head in his neck and held fistfuls of his shirt at the back.
When we disentangled ourselves from each other, I smoothed my hair down and looked into his piercing blue eyes, which were trained on something behind me.
I turned around to see a bleary-eyed Rose staring at us with an unreadable emotion in her eyes.
"Rose, I-" I started.
"Go." She cut me off before I could finish.
"Huh?" I was stunned. She was letting me go without any harsh words?
"Just... Go. Have fun," she added at the end, smiling weakly.
I stepped forward and hugged her briefly. I hadn't expected her to let me go with Luke just like that. But I was so grateful.
"Thanks, Rosie-Posie," I said, using her nickname from when we were younger.
She shot me a playful glare. "Do you want me to reconsider letting you go?"
"No! Uh, bye, Rose," I said, smiling at her, retreating.
"Bye," she said, smiling back at me weakly.
Luke was standing there, watching us with his eyes twinkling. He grinned wide when I locked eyes with him.
Rose told us to have a good time, in sign. Luke was practically smiling so big it was like his smile would fall off his face if he grinned wider.
