We walked back inside hand-in-hand, our cheeks slightly flushed- both from the chilly atmosphere outside, as well as the fact that we were in that stage in a relationship where every little movement, every little display of affection, every touch, exhilarates you.
We heard hoots and whistles when we neared our table. Cooper and Ashton were making a ruckus about us holding hands.
Secretly, under the table, Ashton and Alexis were holding hands, but I didn't call them out.
Instead, I buried my face in Luke's shoulder, and giggled like a schoolgirl.
Yes, I literally giggled. This was getting weird to a point where it was kind of freaking me out.
"About time you asked her out!" Copper exclaimed gleefully.
Though Luke couldn't understand what he said, he got the faint meaning of it. I felt his frame shake with laughter.
Once we were done eating (read: sat through a torturous teasing session with Cooper) Cooper offered to drive to Luke home with the two of us. Luke agreed, and thanked him. Luckily, Cooper knew the bare minimum of ASL since he'd had to babysit Rory with me a couple of times.
We bid and Ashton and Alexis goodbye, and drove home. Luke and I sat in the backseat. No, we weren't making out or whatever couples usually do in the backseat. We were playing the 'spot the yellow cars' game.
Let's just say, at the end of it, we were arguing our heads off like small children about spotting the yellow car first.

I rung my doorbell twice, tapping my foot impatiently and waiting for someone to answer.
The door opened to reveal Rose with her hair all messed up, her face flaming, and her lips swollen.
"Ooh, someone's getting it on, I see," I chuckled at her.
"Oh, shut it. What else do you think I'd do when I'm all alone at home with another guy?" She replied shaking her head with this glint in her eyes.
"Ew. You and Ben better lock the door, and sanitise the house once you're done."
"Uh, yeah... About that..." She trailed off, nervous all of a sudden.
"Rosey? Where are you?" I heard a voice call from within.
"Just a second, Nick!" She called back.
"Wait a second. Who the fudgenuggets is Nick?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.
"Well, um. I broke up with Ben," she informed me.
"But why? I mean, weren't you in love with him?" I curiously asked.
"I was. Until I found out that I wasn't the only one," she sneered.
"Oh. Oh. He cheated on you?" I shrieked, bewildered.
"Yep. That douchebag. I should've known. Even his brother is the same, I've heard. Ben and Jack are both pretty much the same, they say."
"Aw, it's okay, Rose," I replied, hugging her.
"Yeah. I'm not going anywhere close to the Hemmings again," she chuckled darkly.
"Wait. Holy cow." I took a moment to let that sink in.
"His name is Ben... Hemmings?" I screeched.
"Yeah. I thought you knew that. Why?" She said, nonchalantly.
