Three strangers stood on his doorway and he was beyond angry at the interruption. Where the hell was Kalen? He hadn't mentioned leaving and now Andreas was left to deal with intruders himself. It was good, probably. He hadn't killed anyone in quite a long time.
"Where is she?" The tall one in the front asked.
Andreas narrowed his gaze on him. No way they were looking for Sin, was there? They definitely wouldn't be here for Lana. Anyone who had heard that he'd captured her would be too afraid to even try to rescue her. Her life simply wasn't worth it to anyone. At least not anyone who was capable of actually challenging him.
"There is no one here but me," Andreas replied, his tone not changing. It was the truth. Lana and Sin had left earlier that morning to go down the the village market. Bonding, he believed they had called it. What those two were bonding about, Andreas couldn't even begin to imagine. They had nothing in common.
The man's voice went to a tone that would sound low and deadly to anyone who wasn't Andreas. He was trying to be intimidating -- it was almost cute. "I can feel her here, fenghar." Andreas' eyes widened at the insult that wasn't really an insult that Sin kept tossing at him. "If you have hurt my sister in any way, I will make you wish you had never been born."
Andreas started laughing, a sharp, menacing thing that had actual mirth mixed into it as realization dawned on him. There was only one person this could be.
He had just finished his spell, and was eager to test out the language before Sin got back. "You must be Thorn," he said fluently in the language he'd heard Sin speak before.
The woman in the back tensed at his words. The one in the front, Thorn, said nothing, made no movement for a long while before he tossed his hood back to glare at Andreas with narrow eyed suspicion. "And you would be...?" the man answered in the same tone.
Andreas' eyes narrowed as he got a good look at Thorn. So this was him then. The man Sin had presumably left behind in her world. On his doorstep. Imagine that. Andreas crossed his arms over his chest, not happy. Not happy at all. Thorn was tall, and would be considered beautiful by any woman's standards. He had long elfin ears, shale black eyes, and shoulder length black hair almost as dark as his own. This was the man he was to compete with?
Andreas growled. "She's not here."
"I suppose we shall come back later then," the man in back said. He pushed his hood off too, revealing another too attractive elfin face. His hair was almost the exact opposite color, long and silver, with eyes glowing amber.
Thorn growled at the other man's words, glaring at him.
Andreas simply stared at them, waving them off, shooing them.
"We are not going anywhere," Thorn threatened, his eyes still narrow on the silver-haired man. It was adorable that he thought he was even the least bit intimidating. Sin probably kept him as her pet. He could see why.
"If she is not here, it's a rather pointless endeavour to remain, don't you think?" The silver-haired man said, his tone calm and impassive.
"I can feel her here, so you'll tell me where she is," Thorn growled, his tone trying to be animalistic -- but it reminded Andreas more of a tiny kitten discovering its claws for the first time. "And what you've done to her, and how you speak Faerndesl."
"I don't see how any of those things are any of your business. Now if you'll excuse me, you have interrupted me." Andreas moved to shut the door in their faces. Sin wouldn't be happy if he killed them.
