If it had been up to her, the man would already have lost his hands -- and another part of his body he seemed to like very much. He held her too close, his hands traveling all over her, and nothing she did could get him to stop. But, she had to keep him busy. At least until they got Lana out. She knew the rest of them didn't particularly care about the girl. But she knew at least one of them cared about her. So, she would wait.

Caelei smiled at John, as he moved his head closer to hers -- too close. His lips grazed the skin of her jaw, and it took every inch of her self-control not to hit him or push him away. He twirled her away from him, only to pull her back a second later, her back pressed up against him as he circled his arms around her. She couldn't move to get out of this grip.

His mouth was right next to her ear. "What do you say we go somewhere more private?" he purred.

A wave of revulsion washed through Caelei, but she swallowed it down. They couldn't leave yet.

Lana was just coming down the stairs, holding the hand of a man who appeared to be related to John. Thorn hadn't even gotten her onto the dance floor yet. Internally, Caelei shuddered. She would never let any of them know just how uncomfortable she was. Just how little she wanted to be near this vile man.

His hand trailed down her torso, touching her in ways she really did not want to be touched by him. She shivered, but it was not the good kind.

She put a fake smile on her face, turning to him slightly. "But I'm having so much fun dancing," she said in her sweet tone.

He pressed into her from the back and she went still. Her fists clenching. I can't kill him. I can't kill him. She chanted to herself.

I'm going to kill him, Thorn growled suddenly, through the connection they shared in Sin's mind. There was no way she was letting the blasted infuriating elf into her mind. None. It wasn't happening. She might have been the slightest bit upset with him still. In fact, there was nothing slight about it. Just hold out a little longer, I'm almost to Lana. You can go at any time, you don't have to wait. I will get Lana out, Caelei. She swallowed, and turned around in John's arms, putting a bit of space between their bodies.

It would be too suspicious if I got him out so soon after Lana returned to the dance floor. Especially with his brother there.

No one is going to notice. Sin was right, it's time to end this. And I can't stand to watch one more second. His last sentence came out as an animalistic growl and she mentally widened her eyes at him.

And just why is that, hmm? She said, as she pressed herself closer to John, using a hand to brush a strand of hair out of his face.

He growled again. That's not obvious?

No. It's not. We've established this. You are annoying and confusing you blasted elf.

Thorn rolled his eyes. Not as confusing as you.

I am not confusing. I have made myself perfectly clear. It's not my fault you are so infuriatingly blind and obnoxious.

Blind?! You are the one who said you didn't want to bother with me!

I didn't say that! You see? This is exactly my point! You foolish, stupid, infuriating elf!

John's grin turned feral and he leaned forward, his lips pausing a hair's breadth from hers. Caelei was very still.

Yes, you did! We had this entire conversation!

In which you made a ton of assumptions as to my meaning! Instead of actually listening to my words. Idiot.
