Thorn grinned broadly as he watched Caelei stalk away, even through the anger. "Sin is going to be so mad when she realizes Caelei was right..." he turned his grin on Andreas, for once devoid of malice or irritation when speaking to the sorceror. "Excellent plan, Grigoli. Excellent."
Andreas chuckled.
Thorn smirked as he watched Caelei vanish through the trees, and Sin drag Lana in the direction all the signs she knew to look for were telling her was correct.
"We should probably stop Caelei," he said. "She'll get lost." He wasn't entirely sure he cared--after all, she very obviously didn't want anything to do with him, wouldn't even recommend him, apparently.
"We should."
Thorn glanced at him, arching a brow as a sudden idea came to him. "It would make her ten times as mad if she knew Caelei was in on it..." he trailed off, tilting his head at Andreas. And that was a much better reason to grab her. It wasn't that he cared, he just wanted to make Sin more upset, as she deserved.
The godling arched a brow in return, smirking. "Do as you see fit."
Thorn's eyes narrowed. "You'd have to let her into the cloaking spell."
"As soon as you touch her, it will happen automatically."
Thorn's eyebrows lowered as he stared at Andreas. He didn't like how quickly the sorcerer had agreed, and he didn't like the feeling that there was something else going on, some other motive behind the man's actions.
But he couldn't very well let Sin get away with this, so with a shrug, he headed off into the trees after Caelei.
He meant to just tap her on the shoulder, but she looked so... adorable, striding along all huffy and irritated with a glower on her face, that Thorn grabbed her around the waist instead. He regretted it instantly, knowing how she felt about him, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the feel of her waist beneath his palms.
Caelei released a startled cry, more a squeal, and Thorn grinned against her neck as her hands covered his--doubtless to pull him off her. Thorn stepped back--but she held onto his hands, which didn't make any sense at all. He couldn't make sense of her.
One minute she was insulting him, and the next she wouldn't let him go. Thorn wasn't sure if he wanted to kiss her or kill her--something that was apparently becoming a trend between them.
Caelei gasped softly, turning to him with that glower still firmly in place--her hands still in his. Or his in hers. Or whoever was holding who. "Thorn," she said, a bit breathless.
Whether she was breathless from the scare, or from being angry at Sin, or from being angry to see him, Thorn didn't want to know. He pulled his hands out of hers, folding his arms. "Yes."
She said nothing, just staring at him, and Thorn couldn't read the expression on her face except to notice that the glower hadn't faded entirely. It probably wouldn't be long before she was back to glaring at him, since he apparently couldn't do anything right.
"Come on," he said, turning to head through the trees. "Don't get lost."
"I'm sorry? Get lost? I was not the one heading in the wrong direction!"
"Didn't say you were," Thorn said, waving a hand over his shoulder. "But we need to keep Sin from knowing that, don't we?"
Caelei caught up with him, confusion in her eyes. "What? Why?"
Thorn shrugged. "She needs to be taken down a couple pegs."
Caelei still looked confused. "Why?"
