Ember growled at Andreas as the sorcerer healed his own wounds, having gotten into yet another fist fight with Casian. Andreas eyed the dragon wearily. "He started it, okay?"
Smoke came out of the dragon's nostrils.
"I don't think he believes you," Casian said with a laugh, scooping the tiny dragon into his arms.
"I don't care. You and I both know it's true."
"I wasn't denying anything."
Andreas eyed Casian warily for a moment. "We're good? I honestly do not feel like a third brawl."
The dragon lord nodded. "For now, yes."
Andreas sighed. "For now," he muttered and started heading back to the mansion, Casian following on his heels.
"Who knows, tomorrow we might rub each other the wrong way again," Casian said with a smile.
"Or two minutes from now," Andreas warned with the shake of his head.
"Touchy."
"Make that a couple of seconds."
Casian laughed. And it was such a careless, free sound. Casian, despite everything, could laugh without an edge of darkness, while Andreas was only now rediscovering how to.
"I still don't know either of the languages of our Faen visitors," Casian mused as the dark bricks started coming into view.
"Impatient aren't we? Sin only offered to teach you last night."
Casian shrugged, not replying.
Andreas looked at him and then grabbed his arm to stop him from walking. "Stay away from the naiad."
Casian smirked, feigning innocence. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
Andreas shook his head. "Don't say I didn't warn you."
"I can take care of myself."
"You may survive, but that doesn't mean it'll be a fun existence."
"Ye of little faith."
"Casian, I'm serious."
The dragon lord merely patted Andreas' shoulder before continuing to walk. "You worry too much."
Andreas caught up with Casian easily. "I'm not worried. I'd actually like to see you get beaten up. Hell, I might even cheer for the elf." In fact, there was no might about it. Andreas knew he would cheer for the elf, especially given the mood he was in.
He and Casian might have gotten into two fights, but his anger had in no way diminished.
Casian glared. "And you are so certain he'd attack me for making a move on the nymph?"
Sin, Andreas called, establishing the mind-link when he felt her presence.
Hmm, she replied curiously, a smile in it.
How would Thorn react if say, Casian made a move on Caelei? He asked.
She was silent for a beat. Considering that he's with her right now, not favorably? He tends not to get overly attached to his... girls... but this isn't the usual situation. And he's more fond of her than he usually is of anyone. He thinks she's interesting.
So, taking all of that into consideration, if Casian made a very obvious, very bold move, Thorn might feel inclined to do what exactly? I'm only asking because Casian is seriously considering this.
It would depend on how she reacted. But he wouldn't be happy... and if she refused him, he'd defend her. If not he'd just sulk.
Less violent than I was hoping for. But for my sake, and Thorn's, let's have Casian believe the elf will burn him to a crisp, yes?
