Chapter 3 – Meet and Greet

I looked at the frightened boy, who I guess wasn’t a boy since he looked about my age, and decided what I was going to do.

“If your body guards come out of nowhere, don’t let them tackle me, because I’ll sue.” I whispered quickly in his ear, I sent him a quick smile to show him I was joking before grabbing his hand and pulling him up. I dragged him behind the speaker and turned him towards me, so his back was facing the door.

He opened his mouth to say something but I quickly covered it with my hand.

“Yeah, your accent, is awesome, but a dead giveaway.” I looked at him again to make sure he understood before removing my hand. “Now pull up your hood and look down towards me.”

It wasn’t hard for him to look down at me, since I was a couple inches shorter than him.

“Put your arms around my waist.” I commanded him, he looked confused but obeyed. I wrapped my arms around his neck, using my arm to conceal the parts of his face his hood didn’t cover to passersby. I peeked around Niall’s head before I started laughing, “This is not how I expected my day to go.”

He gave a shrug as if to say, me neither and another thought hit me. “On a scale of dry tap to Niagara falls, how hard would your fans cry if they saw us now?”

He almost burst out laughing but stopped himself at last minute before whispering in my ear.

“To be honest, I’m pretty sure they would kill you instead.” I took my hands out from around from his neck and made fists,

“I’d like to see them try! I could kick their asses!”

“Go ahead,” he said mentioning to all of the girls passing us by.

“Maybe next time, I’m not really in the mood to kick ass tonight.” He started to laugh louder but someone passing by knocked into him and he tensed. He was silent for a moment.

“Emily, what do we do if I get noticed?” Niall asked eyeing the room.

“Why are you asking me? I’m not security, how the hell am I supposed to know. Personally, if I were you I would run for the hills, but I’m not sure how fast a runner you are.” He looked mock offended for a moment, bringing his hand to his chest.

“I’ll have you know that I used to be on the track team!”

“Good, have fun running then.” He rolled his eyes, but the effect was ruined by the smile that always seemed to be on his face. “By the way where the hell did you come up with this idea? It seems like you’ve done it before?” He laughed a bit at the absurdity.

“Well…” I started but he raised his eyebrow and I caved, “To be honest I read it in a book and it was the first thing that came to my mind.” Suddenly someone tapped Niall on the shoulder and we both tensed.
