Chapter 12 – I’m Soaring I’m Flying

“Wow this is the first time I’ve been in an airport without security in forever” Niall announced after we got through airport security. He was about to continue but Harry’s hand covered his mouth.

“Yeah, well let’s live through it.” Harry said, suspiciously eyeing the people around us. I raised my eyebrow at him in disbelief,

“Are you serious?” I must have spoken too loud because before I could continue Harry covered my mouth with his other hand.

“They’re everywhere.” He mumbled making another scan of the room. I peered at Niall behind Harry’s back and raised my eyebrows further to which he responded to by rolling his eyes. I would have laughed, but my mouth was still covered my Harry’s hand – and I’d like to point out it was slightly sweaty.

Remembering something I did from when I was little to Derek I bit Harry’s hand. The hand dropped immediately.

“Hey! You can’t just bite people!” Harry said jumping away from both of us with a look of shock. “That’s just gross! And it hurt!”

“Oh my god is that a mob coming at us!” I brought my hand to my mouth and pointed behind him,

“They have One Direction posters oh god!” Niall added from beside me, mimicking my horrified expression in the direction I pointed.

Harry spun around faster then I’d ever seen him move, already backing up to run, before he realized there was nowhere there. He turned back to us with an unamused expression a second later, hands on hips.

“That wasn’t very funny.” Harry grumbled, glaring at us.

Niall and I burst into laughter. We high-fived and then started to laugh harder, having to lean on each other for support.

“His face!” Niall said in between his gasps of laughter.

“He was actually going to run!” I was calming down but then I looked at Harry’s expression and it started again.

“Still not funny.” Harry said loudly to be heard over our laughter.

“Oh, but it was.” I said finally calming down, leaning on Niall who was still chuckling.

“I don’t need you guys,” Harry pouted crossing his arms, “I’m going to go find Derek and Alex.”

Harry spun on his heel and started walking in the direction we had last seen my two friends.

“Watch out for little girls!” Niall called out after him.

“They have sharp nails!” I added and Harry flipped us the bird before disappearing around the corner. We laughed about it for a bit longer before Niall changed the subject.

“You up for some food? I’m starving.” He asked nudging my side to get my attention.

“I can’t tell if you’re offering to buy me food or not.” I replied, turning to look at him.

“Yes, I’ll buy you food, come on you mooch.” He sighed trying to come off as exasperated, but his smile broke through. The boy couldn’t even fake upset for long.

“What’s the point of having famous friends if they can’t buy you food?” I asked linking our arms as we made our way to the food court. Niall laughed in response to my question and steered us towards a small coffee shop.

We waited in a brief line up before going up to the cashier, a distracted looking teen. I raised my voice a bit to grab her attention, as she was looking down and picking at her nails.
