"Look alive, sunshine." Poison's voice woke me. I blinked my eyes open and see his red hair hanging down as he looked down at me "We gotta get moving."

He helped me up and tossed me some clothes.

"The others are getting the car ready. You need to hurry." Poison pressed. I bit my lip and wring my hands. Today we were going to make our move to get out of Battery City. It had been 10 years since the normalcy (?) had been lawed. Music is to be no louder then 8 volume and only at certain times of the day. I apparently was supposed to be some savior and the Killjoys were here to protect me. Party Poison had found me. We had a closer relationship than the others did with me. Nothing against them, no way! They were the only family I had, but Poison and I spent at least a week by ourselves when he was taking me back to them. So I had grown pretty close to him.

I guess he saw my uneasiness and walked over to me. He put his hand on my shoulder and knelt down to my height. I looked away from him, not wanting him to see my fear.

"Hey, look at me" He said calmly moving my chin to look at him "I promise, to always be there for you. I would protect you with my life you know that."

I nod trying to stay strong. The last time I had been this afraid... well I don't like to think about that day. Suddenly, he reached around and took off his jacket. With my help he put it on me and smiled.

"There. Now, as long as you have that jacket on... I can always protect you..." He looked at me fondly before turning back into his monotone self.

I wrap my arms around myself and follow him out the door. At the time I thought we were gonna make it. That we were all going to live. But none of us expected the attack that would get me captured and them killed. I now It's been 10 years. I'm 16 now and BLI is bigger than ever. I changed my name when they started looking for me. Then again, I never really had a name. They just called me Sunshine and I just went with it. But any ways I go by Rachel now.

I know they're still out there. He promise... they're just waiting for the right time. But I believe in Krobra Kid. I believe in Jet Star. I believe in Fun Ghoul. I believe in Party Poison. Because after all,

Killjoy's never die.
