Tristan POV

The room was dead silent for 5 long excruciating seconds.

"What does it say?" She looks up at me and she has tears welding up inside of them.

"Oh sh*t" I walk up to her and take the test out of her hands. I'm to anxious to even look down.

"Tris...."

"I wanna know" I look up at her and place my hand on her cheek and caress her softness

"I would never leave, remember that"

She nods her head and I can hear the blood in my ears, I cam hear my heart pumping fast as fuck. Am I ready to become a father? How would I provide for them?

I'm getting ahead of myself, just read the sh*t Tris
I open my palm and looked at the test,"Babe what does this line mean?"

"It means I'm not pregnant, Tris" And it was as if the world made sense again, I am not ready to be a father!

"Oh thank god!" She looked at me and laughed "I'm serious babe, I love you and all but we are so unready to be parents"

"Just breath baby, we dodged a bullet, but we have to be more careful. I don't ever want that to happen until we know for sure what we want."

"I couldn't agree more."
I kissed her forehead , we are definitely always using protection.

I go to the trash and throw away the test in hopes we'll never have to worry about something like that for a long time. I think I would be a good father, but I'm definitely not ready for that responsibility just yet.

I glance over at Xander and she is staring blankly at the trash can where I'd just thrown the test.

"Babe? You alright?" I walk over to her and place my arm around her shoulders

"I just, I don't know. I guess. I was expecting it to be positive for some reason."

"Well, it wasn't meant to be right now. We can try after you graduate or when we get married ya know?" she looked up at me

"You would marry me?" I nod

"Of course I would. You make me feel like, I have purpose. Like I belong somewhere, it's a new feeling for me." She pulls me into a tight hug

"I think our children would be cute." I laugh

"They'd have your big head and my ginormous ears. They definitely wouldn't make it out of middle school without someone saying something about that." She laughs and pushes me

"I do not have a big head!"

"Oh babe, yes you do. Like it's huge!" I tease

"Really?" She puts her hands on top of her head trying to check and see if I was being serious.

"Babe, I love your large head. " I pull her back in and squeeze

"I..can't...breath.." I let go

"Jesus man are you trying to kill me?" She says playfully

"Lets, make some food. All this future talk has made me hungry as f*ck!" she smiles and skips to the kitchen. Yes, skips.

"Turn on the radio! I want to jam while I make food." she points to the radio on the counter. I turned the stations till I heard Congratulations by Post Malone on a station.

My mama called, "Seen you on TV, son."

Said sh*t done changed ever since we was on

I dreamed it all ever since I was young

They said I wouldn't be nothing

Now they always say congratulations

"CONGRATULATIONS!!" Xander sang at the top of her lungs while she made pasta for dinner. I walk to the other side of her and hold her hips as  she sways to the beat of the song.

"If you're gonna stand here,  you might as well help me. Cut up those tomatoes young sir." she demanded

"Ey Ey captain." I salute her and start cutting the tomatoes. I move to the beat of the song while I help her.

Worked so hard, forgot how to vacation

They ain't never had the dedication

People hatin', say we changed and look we made it

Yeah, we made it

Yeah we made it.

"Thank you for helping me honey." I smile

"If I didn't I'm pretty sure I would have gotten cussed out."

"You're right." she says making our plates. The rest of the night we watched movies and spent time together, trying to forget about the previous hours. Only, I didn't want to forget.
