"Feelings? I don't have them."

I got out of the bathtub wrapping my towel around me looking around I groaned I forgot my clothes. This usually would not be a problem, but I took a bath in the bathroom down the hall because the tub was bigger.

I cursed under my breath and peeked out the door, looking left then right. I couldn't see or hear anyone so I took a step out. I was halfway to my room when I heard voices.

"Jayden it is so nice to...Shelby! Get some clothes on!" My mother screeched.

I gasped and blushed holding my towel tighter around me and ran to my room. After getting my clothes on and brushing through my hair I went to get something to eat.

When I got to the kitchen I saw Jayden in the fridge looking confused. "Jay it's a fridge not rocket science," I said with a laugh.

He turned around looking shocked to see someone in the room; he looked down my body and blushed. Crap, I knew it was going to be awkward between us now.

"Look, I know you probably feel uncomfortable around me now, but you didn't see anything so relax," I said sitting on the counter looking at him intently.

He took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes, probably to see if I was lying or not. "It's just you and I here. Your mom had to go to work and your dads at the lab, they took Layla to a babysitter so I wouldn't have to watch her."

I was glad for the change of subject; "Yeah mom gets random patients sometimes."

"I'm starving I didn't eat before I came over and everything here you have to cook," He said poking his bottom lip out and rubbing his stomach.

I laughed at his face, "Alright why don't we go get something to eat? Subway sound good?"

"I love Subway!" he gasped.

I laughed, "Okay give me five minutes to get ready and we can go."

After pulling my hair into a messy bun and grabbing a pair of shoes and my keys I walked downstairs seeing Jayden lying on the couch.

"Okay I'm ready, I'm driving."

He jumped over the back of the couch and ran to the door, opening it and running outside. I shook my head laughing; this guy is out of his mind.

By the time we made it to Subway I was afraid Jayden was going to break my door off it hinges. When he opened the door to Subway though it was like he was a totally different person, he was calm and he just strutted into the place looking like so kind of Greek god.

After we got our sandwiches we went back out to the car he reached for the door handle and I stopped him, "Hey! You are not eating that sandwich in my car."

"Why? I'm starving!" he whined.

"I don't care no one eats in my car, now get in." I said hatefully slamming my door behind me.

After he got in the car he looked at me, "What's got you in a bad mood?"

"Nothing!" I snapped.

He rolled his eyes at me, but kept quiet. The rest of the way home was spent in silence. Why was I angry? I asked myself; maybe it was because he changed so drastically just because we were around people.

When we got back to my house I went and unlocked the door, I heard Jayden shut it behind me as I walked into the kitchen. I walked towards the fridge, "What do you want to drink?" I asked him afraid to look at him.

"Shelby, Look at me,” he’s voice made my hand freeze on the handle. I felt his breath blow across my neck and my whole body tensed. I could feel the heat from his body and his cologne filled my nose disturbing my senses.
