Dean pulled away looking me in the eyes. He took a deep breath trying to calm him. I raised myself up trying to reach his lips again, but he pulled away shaking his head slightly.

“Shelby, if we keep kissing like this I won’t be able to stop,” he warned me.

I flopped back on the couch and let out a deep breath. I looked up at him to see him staring at me intently. I knew what we had just done complicated our relationship even more. If it went any farther tonight I would probably end up regretting it and by the look in his eye he knew that as well.

“You’re right we should stop, I’m not ready to go any further,” I said looking at him guiltily.

“Hey don’t look at me like that, I knew you wasn’t ready that’s why I stopped,” He said cupping me face between his hands.

“You’re a better person than I give you credit for, when I would remember us I only remember the bad never the good,” I whispered to him.

“I’m not a good person you are too good for me, but I am selfish enough to try and fight for you.”

“You’ve changed Dean, you have changed a lot. I know that Jayden cheated on me, but the 30 missed calls prove to me that he wants me back. You changing has made this decision so much harder.”

“Let’s spend the next few days getting to know each other again. You have changed a lot too,” he said looking into my eyes again.

“Dean?” I asked.

“Yes?”

“Are you still in charge of the gang?”

“Yes.”

“I was afraid of that,” I answered.

“Why do you want me to quit?” he asked searching my eyes for the answer.

I opened my mouth to speak when someone burst through into the living room looking frantic. “Sorry boss, but we have a serious problem,” the guy said.

“What is it?” Dean asked not taking his eyes from mine.

“Should we order Chinese takeaway or pizza?” the guys smiled at his joke.

Dean’s head snapped around towards him, “Very funny Bruce.”

“Pizza,” I answered.

Bruce and Dean’s eyes shot to me and I smiled, “What? I had Chinese yesterday.”

“Great,” Bruce said smiling, “Boss said pizza!” he screamed turning to walk in the kitchen.

“I didn’t agree to pizza,” Dean said.

“Yeah, but Shelby did and you’ll so anything for her,” he said rolling his eyes making a face.

I laughed and Dean glared at Bruce making him back into the kitchen. I smiled at Dean and wrapped my arms around his neck, “You’ll do anything for me?”

“Of course you know that.”

He pushed himself off me and started walking towards the kitchen. I stood on the couch and launched myself onto his back wrapping my legs around his waist.

“What are you doing?” he asked grabbing my thighs holding me to him.

“It’s called piggyback riding.”

“I miss everything about you, without you,” I sung softly.

“What?” Dean asked looking at me.

“Huh? Nothing.”

“You’re a good singer,” Dean said.

“I know.”
