Chapter 10

Elena's POV

Dear diary,
I woke up from this nightmare I can still hear the murderous screams.

The taste of the warm, thick blood in my mouth. I can't forgive myself.

I close my journal and sigh.

*Knock*

"come in"

I say, as I look up I see Damon I jump up and cling my arms around his neck.

He softly brushes my back with his hands.

"I love you Damon"

I cry as I hold tighter. He picks me up and climbs upstairs, he drops me on his bed and puts the golden, lilac comforter over my soar body.

He softly kisses my forehead and leaves

"wait"

I say as sit up, I pat the bed and say

"C'mon"

he climbs in bed and wraps his arms around me and we fall asleep.

"Good morning sunshine"

I hear as I sit up, a big smile appears on my face when I smell delicious blueberry pancakes,

"yum"

I yell as I trot downstairs, suddenly I hear a bullet,

"Damon!"

I scream as I sprint into the kitchen

"NO, NO, NO, DAMON!!!"

I cry, I walk into the living room and fall to the ground"

"DAMON!!!"

Suddenly I feel a dry hand on my shoulder

"wha-"

before I can finish my word an unknown person pulls me and knocks me out.

Stefan's POV

"Where are they?"

Caroline yells as she slams Damon's door

"He won't pick up his phone"

I reply,

"wait, look pancakes"

I say as I walk in the kitchen

"the stove is still on"

Caroline says as she turns the stove off,

"they're in trouble" I sigh.

Damon's POV

" Elena, do you hear me?"

The only reaction I get is a grueling groan
