(His perspective)

I can't stand it any longer. She has got to stop avoiding me. Today at school she practically ran from me like I had the plague. I tried talking to her and she just half heartedly nodded and kept walking. The worst part, everyone saw.

I didn't know why she hates me so much? I've tried so many times to talk to her, to get to know her. My wolf practically begs to see her, we're going to be mates soon enough.

My heart stops when I look at her, she's just so beautiful. Her smell is intoxicating, a mixture of pine trees with a touch of a florally scent. So in other words, heavenly.

After school I park my car in the garage. I figured after netting with grandpa, she wouldn't be in the mood to see me.

I head upstairs to my room and work on my assignments, and slowly the hours roll by. When it's really late and the world seems to be quiet, that's when I like to go for a run. I feel like I can just be myself.

Lately I have so much stress on my shoulder,
I will be alpha of this back one day, with her beside me. How can we rule together if we can't even have a conversation?

Once I'm outside I start running towards the Forrest line. I decide not to shift tonight, I just feel like running in my human form.

I keep an even pace, and just let my Ming wander and my feet carry me. After a while, I realize where I am.

I'm so close to her house, I guess that's where I really want to go. I decide I might as well say hi, I see lights on inside the house. I head up their porch and knock on the door.

No one answers, and faintly I hear a noise from the back forest. Maybe she went out for a walk too, I guess were not so different after all.

I track her scent, and follow her along the trail until I see her shadow ahead. She must have heard me because she jumps around and calls out.

I step forward and her face instantly relaxes.

"LOKI! What on earth are you doing out here? Are you stalking me now?" She questions me.

"What? No! I came to see you and you weren't in the house, so I followed your scent"

"Right - sorry, I don't know why I'm so jumpy. You just really freaked me out" she says while tucking a strand of her hair behind her eyes. It's a simple motion, but my eyes are glued to her actions.

"So, I heard you saw my grandpa today? How'd it go?" I ask, trying to change the subject.

"It was good, we spoke about" She pauses, "lots of things."

Well this won't do, I need her to open up to me! How can we have a relationship if she won't.

"Like?" I say, grunt to get her to tell me.

"Our future, if you really want to know" she says finally, seeming really embarrassed.

"I truly am going to be a good mate to you, I promise. I won't let you go - ever" I say without thought. If anyone ever got between us, I'd kill them.

I realize I never should have told her that, she looks terrified of me right now. I try to play it off and pretend like I'm kidding. She relaxes slightly, but I can tell I put her on edge.

We see the house finally and I see her about to talk to me, "So I'm not sure what you need but I'm really busy okay?"

"Yeah for sure, I'll get out of your way" even though that's the last thing I want.

She tells me she's tried, and has a perfectly timed yawn. She sways a little and without thinking I scoop her up in my arms.

She protest quietly and I laugh, no way am I putting her down. She relaxes slightly and my heart melts. Her head falls on my chest and I feel myself smile.

I carry her all the way towards the door. She tenses ... before she opens her mouth Im already in her living room.

I gently lay her down on the couch. There, maybe she'll realize I'm not such a bad guy?

Before I leave, I check on her one more time, her hair is fanned out across her cheeks as they takes even breaths. Her little eyelashes are black and long as they flutter while she sleeps.

She is an angel.

I leave her in peace and walk towards the back of the yard. One I reach the woods I shift, running towards home.

Each step I take feels like a knife in my gut. Each step is one farther away from my beautiful, little mate.

I will see her tomorrow. I smile devilishly as I come up with my plan. Her fiends and her love parties. They never miss them.

I decide I'll throw the best one tomorrow. She'll have to show, her friends will practically drag her there.

When she does...

She'll be mine.
