Aura

The dream

I open my eyes slowly. Darkness surrounds my eyes. I can make out trees above me. The branches stretching out far above the sky. Fog seems to float around my body in an eerie sense.

I slowly sit up, taking in my surroundings. I seem to be in some sort of forest. I try to make out my whereabouts....did I get lost somewhere? What happened to Damon and Kayla...Hunter too.....

I spin my head around trying to find something or someone.

A loud noise booms across the forest, I snap my head in the direction of that noise.

I see a woman staring at me.

For some strange reason, I don't feel frightened, I feel almost like I already know her.

I scan over her features... She must be in her seventies at least. She looks eerie... Like she belongs in the fog amongst the trees. She seems to speaking to herself. Her eyes close.

"Welcome Aura... I have been waiting for you for a long time child"

At the sound of her voice I turn around to get away from her. All of a sudden I feel afraid.

"Relax my dear, I'm not going to hurt you" her voice gently floats across the empty forest.

I stop slowly and turn around, and she's right behind me. I fall down on my butt and stare up into the eyes of the woman.

"H-how... You were OVER THERE!!!" I scream at her.

She chuckles and smiles at me.

"All in good time dear.... You will learn your abilities" she continues to smile in a knowing-way and even reaches out to pull a leaf out of my hair. 

I should flinch.... But her touch seems to calm me down instead. Wait, what does she mean abilities. Does she know about my dreams?

"Abilities?Like my dreams?" I blurt out.

Way to go idiot.... You couldn't listen to Odeon for a day?

Shut it Selene.

I look up at the woman and she seems happy, she even opens her arms out wide.

"Exactly!" She smiles brightly and turns to walk away, Humming to herself.

Do I follow this lady? She seems to be a little crazy?

When I look back up she's just reaching the trees. As she passes by her first tree, she becomes invisible.

I start to debate... I mean should I follow the strange lady into the forest?

NO

YES!

Selene's voice re-appears.

We need to follow her into the woods.

Well I can't argue with my wolf.

I huff and grumble as I walk towards the forest. My bare feet squishing into the dirt.

I trip across a tree root and fall flat on my stomach. Out of thin air she appears, and reaches down to offer me a hand. She helps me up.
