Alone...

You're sitting on your bed, staring but not seeing out your window. The ache in your chest grows ever so slightly as you take each breath. You can't cry. Not yet, not until your sure everyone is down for the night.

Chewing on your chapped lower lip, you glare at the sliver of yellow light underneath your door. Two minutes past forever later and it clicks off. "Finally" you sigh under your breath sliding under the shelter of your blankets.
Today has been horrible to say the least and all you've wanted to do was curl under the covers and drown in your tears. Evan wasn't at school today so you couldn't even at least pretend you were ok for his sake.

Your freshly showered (y/h/c) hair sticks to the back of your neck so you gather it, give it a twist or two and tuck it on the pillow above you.
The tears slide silently down your face, forming a damp area under your cheek. Your chest constricts tighter and tighter. You think you can actually hear your ribs snap under the strain.

You hear the snapping noise again but quickly realize it came, not from inside you but actually from the window across from where you are laying now.
You bolt upright into a sitting position clutching your quilt for security as you see what looks like a human shape outside your window. Said human shape is tapping your window, hence the snapping noise. Slowly you move from the bed to the window with your heart trying to make a getaway from your chest.

You stifle a scream as suddenly a flashlight beam illuminates the the face of the human shape.......
