"So that is pretty much my day in a nutshell. Pretty boring if ya ask me."
"I think it was interesting. Kinda makes me homesick though." Suddenly Evan's face disappears and is replaced by a flash of something then darkness. I hear a muttered "dammit" before Evan's face reappears, "sorry babe I dropped ya" he chuckles, "this talking on Skype sucks ass. You're lucky I love you."
"I'm your best friend of course you love me who wouldn't love me?" I giggle which earns me a middle finger from Evan. "So I know you can't tell me any details, but how's the show going?"
His smile is huge, "I'm loving it babe! Now maybe I can watch a horror movie." His laugh is infectious. My laughing turns into a yawn causing his face to drop slightly, "crap I didn't realize how late it is. I'm gonna let ya go get some sleep. We can talk more Friday." I simply nod seeing as how my mouth is currently stretched into another yawn.
His eyes become sad, "I miss you so freaking much." My chest clenches with longing to hold him. "I miss you so freaking much too babe." I whisper as my throat closes up; tears fill my sight making his face blur slightly.
"Goodnight babe" his voice cracks slightly.
"Goodnight Ev" I sniffle, his face disappears. I lay my phone on my nightstand, flop back on my bed letting my tears spill freely.

*Thursday night*

I glance at the clock again; 9:50pm and still no word from Evan. He must have gotten held up filming or had some other affair after work, I'm sure he will call or something soon...maybe.
I let out a deep breath as I cram two pieces of leftover pizza in the microwave, the beeping of the keypad is loud in the quiet of the empty house. Both my parents went to my aunts until Monday while I opted to stay home.
Ten minutes later:
I'm sitting on the couch, the only light coming from the glow of the TV as some girl runs through the woods from the killer in a mask; I jump two foot as a knock startles me.
Who in the hell?
Picking up the nearest thing; my moms horse statue; I peep through the tiny window on the front door. Evan gives me a little wave from my front porch. Quickly I sit the statue back down and throw open the front door before lunging into his arms, "Evan! Oh my God you're here!" He wraps his arms tight around me, I bury my face in his neck, inhaling deep.
"Hey babe. I've got a few days off so I thought who better to spend my time with?" I wrap my arms around him tighter "but babe, do you think we could spend our time inside the house?" He chuckles.
I release him but grab his hand pulling him inside.

Later we are lying in my bed on our sides facing each other, "LA is great, don't get me wrong, but I miss it here." A yawn overtakes him then, "let's get some sleep, we can hang tomorrow" I reach above me to flip off my overhead lamp and face him again, moonlight streaming through my window allows me to see his face slightly; his eyes are closed, blonde curls spill over his forehead tickling his eyelids, his lips are parted slightly as his slow breaths whisper past them. God he's beautiful and he's here in my bed. It's like old times but different all the same.

I love him so much.
