I wiped the tears out of my eyes and dropped myself into bed.

This would always happen to me? My mate at fourteen? Alpha at fourteen?

Heartbreak at fourteen?

I needed to get out and go to school in a couple of hours, and there was no chance in me sleeping.

I rolled over and did something I rarely did.

I read.

I read, and read, until the sun came up.

I got out of my bed, after reading a book, showered and dressed.

I dressed in a denim skirt and a hoodie, and slung a rucksack over my back.

Today was a 'field trip'. We were going out into the fully human civilisation. There are a few humans that live in the pack, but I had never been where any humans live- with no werewolves around.

We dominate most of the world now.

Humans don't dare bother us.

As soon as I arrived at school, I was basically mobbed with people. I smiled, waved and my third in command flanked me.

My third in command was a girl, and her name was Abby. We were very close friends since we were very young. My fourth in comman was another friend, Isabella, who had also known me since I was a toddler. My protector, (sadly wasn't Rose, but she was following close behind) was called Rani. I had known her since the start of middle-school.

"Do you want a beach trip after school?" I asked Abby, Rani, Rose and Isabella, breathless.

There was no air in here, and hearing everyone speaking was giving me a headache.

"Yeah!"

We got onto the bus, and many people came and asked to sit by me, I smiled, kindly declining, and sitting by my best friends.

Isabella sensed my true mood. She had a special power. "Eh, what's up?"

"You want to know?"

She nodded, but now Abby, Rose and Rani were interested.

"I've found him. I've found my mate"

"Who?"

"The beta. Josh"

"Ooo la la! You have a thing for beta's"

"Aren't I a bit young to be heartbroken. Again?"

"No. Be adventurous. You need him; you need him to fix you again" Rose told me, and she started blubbering over that guy, Ben.

The human city was big, and there were hardly any trees. I missed the reservation. I was glad to be home. We walked to the beach, and ate food and laughed and talked about boys.

Finally, I felt like me again.
