Here's a note.

Over 1.5K reads...wow...amazing. Nine votes? No...not so amazing. Are you enjoying this? The amount of reads tells me that you are...but not the votes? Most people with this amount of reads has usually around 50-80 votes. So is this good? I can't tell? Should I just stop? Please comment, telling me if its good or not. If I don't get many more votes or comments, then, I think I'll stop writing, because no one is enjoying it.

I walked up to my room, Josh following.

Uh-oh, I’ve just irritated the beta.

And I’m human.

He stared at me, his eyes wide with fury. I flinched away from this gaze.

“What did you just do?”

“Am I not allowed to tell the truth anymore, beta?” I questioned. “I can see the fury in your eyes but I can also see something else…something that is preventing you from hurting me” I said, smiling.

“I have told Alpha Armstrong too many times to banish you. He refuses, saying it is much cheaper to keep you here. He knows you’re something special, but I’m yet to see it”

“You can’t presume I am a human. You are a spirit, too, and you know what it’s like. Why are you a wolf too? Why shouldn’t I be one? Surely, if my spirit left me, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I can’t still possess a spirit? I’ve had too much time to think, beta”

“Alpha Armstrong has an inkling you are much more than a human, or werewolf”

“This inkling…” I pursed my lips “Is beside the point. My point is, the fact you still want me; but you know you can’t have me, because I’m adopted, and my ‘parents’ have left, I was rejected when I was like…thirteen, and you are the amazing beta. If I were your mate…you’d be embarrassed”

“Cherry, I’m not here because I can’t drive home from the party; the Alpha told me to come here and investigate your powers, because the cold ones are advancing”

I shivered. “How are you going to investigate? Why are the cold ones even interested in me?”

“They want to change you”

I shivered.

“They can change me!” I shouted “Like I care”

“The alpha doesn’t even care! He just doesn’t want to create a vampire-werewolf. He wants you to leave! He will put you straight into training when you reach eighteen if you are a werewolf. If we find out your human, well, we’re kicking you out…now”

“What do you mean, powers?”

“You have some kinds of mystical powers”

“The tribal powers from the old times. They used to call them sorceresses”

“Where do I need to go?”

“Lake”

I groaned. It was cold outside.

He continued talking. “Are you coming now?” He took his jacket off.

“Yep”

He passed me his jacket, and I snatched it off him, snarling.

“You have to be a werewolf, with that kind of snarl”

“Would you like me to repeat something for you? Okay, I will” I coughed. “I. Don’t. Care. If. A. Vampire. Comes. And. Bites. Me. Right. Now” I said, slowly and angrily. “If. I. Am. A. Werewolf. Or. Not. A. Werewolf. I. Do. Not. Care”

“You forgot sorceress”

In the moonlight, I couldn’t help but admire him. He towered over me, his thick, glossy black hair finishing off his perfect features. I think I drooled. His walk was effortless, and all he provided me with was protection. He did irritate me, but the thought of him actually being my mate made me happy.

We found the lake, and he told me to look into it. I did as he said, and suddenly, vivid visions appeared in front of me.

“Josh! Josh, you can’t run from me!” I said, running through a field of flowers, and grass up to my knees. Josh was running in front of me, and I leapt onto his back. He kissed me then, and time seemed to stop.

“Cherry, should we go for a run?”

“Er…first to the lake wins!” I said, standing up, and running away.

Josh started speaking, rippling and ending the vision. “I forgot to add something Alpha Armstrong told me. If it proves you are a sorceress, then you have a lifetime living in the comfort of the private wing of the pack house, as long as you provide visions of the future for the pack”

“I hate you…so…much. I was seeing something then! You moron!” I jumped up and hit him on the back of his head. “I saw the future, you, you…” I trailed off. “Idiot!”

“What did you see?” He said excitedly.

“The future”

“What of it?”

“We were running through a field…like a meadow, and you ran away from me… then…” I started blushing “Doesn’t matter”

“Yes, it does! I don’t want you to leave here!”

“You couldn’t care less!”

“I just saw the vision too! The same one, it seems”

We stared at each other, our faces falling.

“Ew!” We chorused.

“You are a sorceress, then”

“No”

“Yes, you are!” I shouted, and the air had a sudden chill to it, and I shivered.

He pulled me closer to him, and rested his chin on the top of my head. I was cold, so I wasn’t going to object.

“I guess we aren’t going to banish you”

“Oh…please…the human world seems fun compared to this

He walked me home, and I tucked myself into bed.

The boys were snoring loudly, and the rhythmic patterns sent me to sleep.
