Night

It's my first real night eating with the family so I was excited. They seem like awesome people, and since i didn't make friends with anyone in college i'm kind of lonely . Bam patted the spot next to him so i squeezed between him and Noah.  I think its cute that Noah blushes every time i get in close proximity with him so i leaned over and whispered " hey i heard you like to keep it old school " he nodded " so how bout tomorrow i teach you the herbs to use for medical emergencies?" He smiled; took my hand and kissed it" then its a date on the morrow my dear" before turning back to listen to his families chattering. Across the table i saw mat making a pouty face so i flicked a piece of bread at him using my spoon. It hit him in the nose causing him to cross his eyes and look at me. I giggled and wacked him with another piece but it accidentally hit bear which caused bear to think that his snickering brother gabe threw it so he pegged gabe with a piece of broccoli. Gabe being gabe wasn't watching and accidentally hit mat with his spoonful of mash potatoes. Mat stood up and went to throw his drink on gabe but missed and hit poor Noah in the head drenching him. Once everyone realized what happened the entire table became silent no-one daring to speak until Noah turned and tried to dump his drink on matt but missed and hit me instead so now its my turn to stand * grabbed a hand full of mash potatoes and pegged them at snow bird and rainy yelling " its on!" This snowballed into a massive food fight that ended in the boys wrestling and the girls throwing food at them, the dogs were going crazy trying to chase the boys and food. It was finally over when billy sent everyone to get cleaned up; so the girls and me headed outside to the bath tub thing that mat and birdy built and got in. I waited til they were done before grabbing the guys and a net then heading back to the beach and performing the same trick i did for the girls only getting more fish than before when the guys finished washing they met me on shore and stood shocked until i shoved the basket of fish at them. " Take care of these would ya bammy?😊" i said in a fun voice them made a break down the beach with gabe, mat, bear and Noah at my heels. When we got back to base camp the boys went to their respective houses but gabe offered to walk me to my tree so he shouldered a rifle quickly and i led him to my tree. As we approached it he pulled my hand and started jogging past the tree to a almost secret looking small open field in the woods. Gabe unrolled a blanket from his shoulders and set it down for us to sit; " how did you like your first day?" He asked i smiled " it's so lovely to finally talk and get close to people!" He looked confused so i layed down on my stomach and he followed in suit, when he was comfortable i explain what happened in the lab and college and how i had to flee. Gabe seemed almost in tears before saying " that's terrible you never got to enjoy having friends or a family " i nodded but shrugged " its lonely sometime being my myself and having no one" gabe looked up at the moon and scooted closer before placing his hand on mine and smiling " well your not alone anymore i promise to protect and be there for you" i looked down as he was saying this and when he was done he pushed up on my chin causing me to look at him before he leaned in more and... Kissed me lightly on the lips. We stayed like that for what seemed like and hour until we needed a breath of air then he pulled me to him and i layed my head on his chest before slowly dropping into a deep peaceful sleep anticipating what tomorrow had to bring.
