Safe With You (Alaska bush People fan fic)

Life is finally getting on track, our tree house cabin is finally done. since gabe cant get up the ladder very fast we converted the area around the bottom of the tree into a small house for when it gets too cold.

 David, Matt and bird have been getting along. after a few months of explaining and getting used to being mates birdy came around first and had to show  poor mat that Dave gives the best cuddles and can easily provide for them with meat he catches in wolf form. 

The boys are now the size of large toddlers and have made it a habit of chasing David or bear around camp. Little do they know flight class will begin soon. But first I needed a meeting with our matriarch; walking into the kitchen I found Ami making soup for dinner that evening "good afternoon mom" (yes she lets me call her that). She greets me with a hug " I bet your keeping those boys occupied up there is anything wrong? "   he voice takes a small worried tone, I decided to come out and ask. " I need your help with something" she nods for me to continue, " I've been getting sick recently in the morning and my abdomen feels strange would you be able to check me over please?" I asked in a quiet voice " oh honey, of course come up with me i'll do it now, Rain! please watch the soup" Rain yelled a reply about checking it in two minutes while Ami led me to the stairs and up to her room where she could check me in private. 

*****fast forward 20 minutes********

Ami pulled my shirt back down over my stomach and smiled, a new light shined in her eyes as i began to sit up on the bed. She then holds my hand between hers and smiles again, " congratulations lovey you are with child" the second this passed through my ears i jumped up and hugged this old lady like she was my life line. " I'm so happy thank you for telling me!" by now i'm smiling from ear to ear, then the thought crossed my mind " wait how do i tell the boys?!?!", she runs a thumb over the top of my hand and grins " surprise them " she then hands me an old throw pillow that looked to be 20 years old with hand stitched lettering on it that read '#1 Dad' the then leads with " i used this on billy when i was pregnant with mat it took him a whole month to notice it". I thanked her again and hid the pillow in my pocket and headed back downstairs to start my plan. 

I decided to grab the twins after i hid the pillow in the room where no one would find it and took to the air. Clutching them to my chest I barrel rolled then broke the cloud line for privacy. 

Looking at my beautiful boys you can tell that they have gotten bigger, loosing some of their baby fat they've gotten a little leaner both started using their wing muscles more but they are still not developed enough to fly on their own. hmmm " how do you two feel about having a little brother or sister?"  

Rafe looked to be in deep thought and tony just giggled at my question, i'll take that as a yes and a maybe. good. flipping them over i balanced then in the palm of my hand by their bellies and allowed them to stretch their wings out. Rafe immediately took to this and began to move them up and down while tony seemed content with just gliding and the occasional flap. Holding them out farther in front of me i got an updraft to hit them and allow then to ride it with me still supporting lightly. Everything was going beautifully until tony sneezed and lost his balance causing him to falter in his gliding and start to cry which caused rafe to join, i guess it's time to head home...

Landing on the top branch of an old tree i turned them to see the ocean, letting the breeze hit them caused them to cool down and lay in my arms contently until i heard howls coming from the beach. I jumped off the branch and glided my way down to the family in silence bear and gabe met me where i landed and as i was about to put the boys down rafe reached out to gabe and tony reached out to bear and squealed " DADDY!!". Both men looked at the boys with such love in their eyes before picking them up from my arms and laughing. I love my family
