Safe With You (Alaska bush People fan fic)

kale had returned, due to his size i was able to send him out under the cover of the storm. Speaking of which looked to be clearing up today so i carefully ran out of my cave and through the forest to the stream that i knew was near by. Ahh splashing your face with fresh cold water in the morning is the best, after i finished my businesses i returned to the cave and packed up my bag. Im so excited to go home its been almost five days since i've left and it would take another two or so to get home. Looking up there was a break in the clouds so i took the opportunity and launched into the air with kale behind me; once my wings broke the clouds i saw how far the second part of the storm was away from us and new we needed to make haste and fly fast. Nodding to kale we rose our altitude and spent the next hour carefully avoiding the ominous clouds. You see its risky flying in a storm especially for something as big as me it takes some maneuvering.
* time skip 6 hours later * we are making a pit stop in a low populated town some where in the woods. Landing i fell onto a branch where i lowered myself to the ground and tucked my wings into my back using the black thermal blanket as a type of cloak. It didnt look that suspicious because the weather was dreary and cold. Kale decided to watch from the trees just in case something happened, and i began making my way to the town stopping at an older looking store that had just what i needed.
* ding*
" Hello how can i help you?"
An elderly looking woman called from the desk, " yes um i was wondering if you had and bird and moon necklaces?"
The smiled and came to stand by my side before guiding me over to a wrack of necklaces and boxes, " here you go deary this is all i have i hope you find what you are looking for" she says before returning to the desk.
Glancing over at the the wrack nothing catches my eye, so i begin looking at the boxes that held them also. Gasping i set my sights on two boxes one has a crow that looks like its flying and made of titanium with a dark blue jewel in the center ,on a black leather cord. The other was a  stainless steel cresent moon with what looked to be outline in a pearl on a brown leather cord. These are perfect!
Making my way to the counter she looks up at me with a simple smile that you really don't see anymore, " I've taken it that you found what you are looking for dear?" I answer with a nod,and place my items onto the counter and going into my back pack to find my money, when i had found it and was about to hand it to her " no need dear its on the house" curiously i look at her " i know you have a long way ahead of you, and are far from home, think of it as a gift from an old woman." She said seeing my confusion, i nod and smile and hand her a flower from the island that I've kept in my back pack it was a moon orchid. With a final smile i turned around and left her shop immediately spotting kale in the trees.
