I slowly close my hospital door and follow the wolf down the hall towards the stairs.

We both quickly but quietly get to the first floor and I get down on my knees and hands so that no one can see me. The wolf suddenly stops for a second, and pulls my hoodie, so I follow it behind a couch and see that a doctor had almost seen us.

When the wolf is sure that it's clear, it starts walking again, this time towards an emergency exit. So that's how it got in... I push the door as quietly as possible but it makes a small squeak and I look around to see if anyone heard.

Nothing happens so we walk down the emergency exit, and coincidentally, the woods are right behind the hospital. The wolf and I both look at each other at the same time and we start sprinting together. We run and run until we reach a spot I've never seen or heard of, with different trees, different soil, and different plants.

I'm confused for second until I realize how tired I am. I sit down on a rock and I look for the wolf.

It disappeared.

I look around and see no sign of it, and I start to wonder if it really was a hallucination, and now I'm stuck here in some foreign forest.

Suddenly, I feel something poke my leg and I whip around only to see the wolf. I really need to stop calling it the wolf. It needs a name, but I don't even know what gender it is! I observe the wolf walk around for a few seconds, and I easily guess that it is a female because of how dainty her footsteps are. She is also slimmer, than what I presume is a male.

I decide to call her Crescent because, there is a small, white crescent moon just below her left eye, on her fur. I watch her for a few minutes, mesmerized by her beauty, then she turns to me and nuzzles her head into my lap.

I hesitantly stroke her head and think. Why has she been randomly appearing in my life all of a sudden? Has she been following me? What about my father? Will we just live in the woods like wild animals? All these questions start hurting my head and I clutch my necklace.

As soon as my fingers touch it, Crescent immediately gets up with her ears high, and fastens her eyes on my hand holding the necklace. She removes my hand from it and just stares. It's as if she knows something I don't.

Now I'm being paranoid.

Crescent gets up and starts walking. I get up as well and follow her. We keep walking, and she keeps checking on me, to see if I'm still there. It's not like I have anywhere to go.

We keep walking and we stop at a weird hill of some sort. Crescent sniffs the hill, puts both ears on it, puts her left paw on it and goes around to the other side. I follow her and I'm amazed to see a door in the hill.

Crescent pulls me towards the wooden door, and looks at me, as if to tell me to open it. I think I probably am going delusional now, but it's worked so far, so I put my hand on the door knob, I twist it, I look at Crescent asking for permission.

When she nods, I push the door open.
