Chapter 55

Madison's POV: I did my work and I put in my earphones to focus on my work. I hummed to the music and I kept Hearing voices then I realized there was four people in the dining room when I came home. Who was the fourth one? I thought. I Knew Mr. Fox was here, Bruce, Alfred, But he fourth I must not have met. I wondered but I went back to my work. Later on a knock came on my door. "Who is it?" I replied to the knock. "It's Bruce. Time for dinner we have company" He said and I heard him walk away. Great. Company. I went out after brushing my hair so I didn't look like I just got out of bed and sat down in the empty seat left for me. I looked around knowing only three of the people sitting here. Someone new was sitting next to me and the boy looked to be about my age but maybe a year or two younger. I wanted to say hello to him but I assumed Bruce would introduce us before I had a chance to say Anything. Soon enough that is exactly what happened. "Dick this is Madison and Madison this is Richard Grayson" He said aloud. I gave him a slight smile and he finally did say hello. "Nice to meet you Richard" I said with a smile. He smiled back. "You too Madison also just call me Dick, its easier." Eventually we all finished and I was free to go back to my work I had to finish. The kid really did seem nice but with all I have seen, I don't know who's nice and who isn't anymore. I Fell asleep mid writing but luckily I woke up early enough to finish my homework, eat, and walk to school. I had a pretty boring day at school but when I got home I had more homework. I did half of it when I heard the doorbell. Alfred heard it too but I was faster to get to the door so I told him I would get it. I opened the door without asking who it was first. I opens it to find Jason. plain as day just standing on our doorstep. I was about to slam the door when he said, "Madison Wait! Please don't slam the door...I just... I need a place to stay out of the cold rain. that's all then I will leave. " I thought about it for awhile but I let him in. I took him quickly to a guest room and told him to stay there. I got some of my more "guy-ish" Clothing and gave them to him. "Put those on and stay in here no matter what. Got it?" I said to him. "but what if..." He started. "STAY IN HERE! GOT IT?!" I said sternly. He nodded and I laughed. "Good" I said and left the room. I went to bed not wanting to be awake when Bruce or alfred found out he was here.
