Chapter 73

Madison's POV:
"Bye Bruce! Bye Alfred!" I called to them in the kitchen and the three of us "children" went out for school. We talked on the walk until Dick decide to be brave when Jason was messing around. Dick told him to stop and pushed him into the road. A speedy car just so happened to be coming by and it hit Jason quickly and sped off. The half masked man looked straight at me and I knew he was part of joker's gang. Anger flared up inside me and I considered finding him until I snapped out of it remembering Jason was hit. I heard spinning tires just as I was gonna get Jason and quickly pulled him out of the road. The man took a few gun shots at us and I began to run. However, when I looked back no one was there. Jason lied still on the sidewalk and Dick held his stomach, blood leaking through his light blue button up shirt.
I calmly took out my phone and called 911. I felt completely calm, but what didn't stick in my mind is that my two only friends, both like brothers, were almost killed.
