Age 14
Tyler knocked on Josh's front door impatiently waiting for his best friend to come out. If Josh didn't hurry they were going to be late for their first day of high school.
After what felt like years of waiting Josh finally opened the door. His backpack was slung across his back and shoes in his hand.
"Sorry Ty, I gotta put my shoes on." Josh apologized. He stepped out of his house and closed the front door and bent down to put on his shoes.
Even though Josh didn't say it Tyler could tell that he was extremely nervous to go to school.
Josh was a pretty smart kid but his social skills were virtually non-existent. Tyler was always the one to approach new people or raise his hand in class.
If Josh was asked something in front of the class he would blush and stutter his way through the answer.
When Josh was 13 his parents tried to get him a therapist to figure out why he was so timid. The therapist would continuously say that he was super shy advised his parents that all he needed was a little push and he would grow out of his shell.
It hadn't happened yet but Tyler didn't care. He liked Josh either way, shy or outgoing Josh was well-Josh.
Josh finished putting his shoes on and followed Tyler as he led the way to school.
