Tyler and Josh were sitting on their living room sofa's eating ramen noodles and enjoying a late night talk show. Two years ago Josh would've never thought that he would be sitting in an apartment owned by him and Tyler, eating a hot meal, and watching tv. It seemed so out of reach but here he was with the love of his life spending time together.
He worked a stable Job, Tyler worked at a restaurant because he never went to college but he liked it. It felt like everything was finally coming together and that his life would never go back to how it was in his high school days when he was extremely shy and alone.
The years when he and Tyler were apart made him stronger and not rely on other people so much. He had to learn to love himself on his own. "What are you thinking about?" Tyler asked him, Josh's face appeared extremely concentrated. "Nothing just about life and us."
Tyler nodded but didn't pry anymore he understood Josh so he didn't have to ask anymore questions. He was just happy to be in Josh's presence and that's exactly why he did what he did next. Tyler put his noodles on the table in front of the couch and stood up to turn off the tv. Josh opened his mouth to protest but closed it instead and decided to just let Tyler do whatever he was doing.
"Listen, Josh," Josh's ears immediately perked up, what was Tyler doing? "These past years with you have been amazing, the ups and the downs, and everything in-between. I know this is probably to early to do this but i don't care because you're my everything and i would do anything for you," Josh's breath hitched, he realized what was happening right before Tyler got down on his knees and continued to talk "I want to send the rest of my life with you so Joshua Dun will you please marry me?" Tyler dug in his pockets and brought out a small box, opened it and a shiny diamond ring was placed in the middle.
Tyler smiled and tears started to stream down Josh's face. Two hands were placed over his mouth. Josh wanted to marry him? He couldn't believe it. He was so extremely surprised. Their relationship was amazing but was it too soon to get married? He didn't know. Josh gulped before answering Tyler's question. "Tyler..."
