Age 15 (part 2)
Josh and Tyler tried to stay in touch as best as they could over the summer.
They would try to Skype every other night. Tyler would always have an interesting story to tell Josh, either about swimming with sharks, or eating exotic foods.
Josh wasn't doing anything practically exciting he got a little bored so he convinced his mom to buy him a drum set and he'd been practicing his drums pretty much all summer.
Tonight he was skyping with Tyler, nothing new, except this time Tyler was especially excited. "Josh! I have to tell you something!" Josh nodded giving permission to Tyler to continue speaking.
"I met a girl today and she's super gorgeous and nice, her names Jenna." Josh knew that he should probably be happy for his best friend but for some reason he felt angry and a little jealous.
But instead he plastered on a fake smile and congratulated Tyler on meeting such a wonderful girl.
"I know long distance relationships are hard but for her I'd do anything." Tyler told him and he wanted to stab himself with a sharp knife.
Tyler was his and his only. He had no doubt about it, but now some girl was getting in their way.
"Tomorrow ill put her on Skype and you can meet each other!" Tyler was smiling from ear to ear and Josh was bewildered, he complied anyways because at the end of the day Tyler was his best friend and that's what best friends do.
