Josh and Tyler sat on the couch sipping their tea. Tyler wondered if he should bring up what happened last night but he wasn't sure if Josh would remember. He cleared his throat loudly and Josh turned to look at him with raised eyebrows.
"Do you remember anything that happened last night?" Tyler asked, scratching the back of his head nervously.
"My mom threw me a graduation party, i drank too much, and now i have a headache." Josh said comically. Tyler laughed nervously.
"Yeah that happened but i mean we had to share a bed remember? Because some of your family members stayed the night because they couldn't drive home." Tyler tried to push Josh's memory so that maybe Josh could remember on his own and he wouldn't have to tell him.
"And?" Josh asked. He wondered why Tyler was pushing this topic so much? What was so important?
"We were laying in bed talking," Tyler started. "you started telling me things, maybe a little personal," Tyler paused to see if Josh could remember. Josh's face paled. What did he confess to Tyler and how incriminating was it?
Tyler sighed and quickly said. "You told me that you liked me and that you never stopped liking me even when you were with Troye."
The room went completely silent. They just stared at each other for a couple of minutes. Josh's face was flushed, he really said all that? He really needed to stop drinking before he started spilling his deepest darkest secrets to everyone and anyone.
"I said that?" Josh asked hoping that Tyler would laugh and say that it was all a prank. But no, Tyler nodded and mouthed 'yeah'.
"I suppose we have to talk about it now." Josh said before he took another sip of his tea.
"No, we don't, I like you too so how about instead of sitting here and awkwardly talking to each other i take you out on a date and we'll see where it goes from there." Tyler suggested. Josh thought about it before nodding. It seemed like a good idea.
The both looked at each other with content smiles on their faces. After all those years it felt like everything was finally working out, pent up feelings were coming out, their love for each other was flourishing, and they could be together in peace.
