That night I knew that I could no longer be away from Jasper. I was greedy. I wanted him and even though I knew the consequences I didn't care. If I didn't have Jasper I would feel alone again. I needed to steal my chances of my happiness, I couldn't bear the loneliness and pain any-more.
The next morning after the party I got a text. I was a suprised that I was back in my bedroom, but had a knowing feeling who could have brought me back. I smiled and reached for my phone.
Emilia, could you please meet me at the park. We need to talk.
JasperI smiled again, I had missed seeing his name on my screen. I quickly chucked on my jeans and a hoodie. I draw on some eye-liner and I'm out of the door. Once I reach the park I sit on a bench playing candy crush to make myself not look like a complete loser.
After a while I felt the creak of the bench and the presence of another person next to me. I look up and see Jasper, looking intently back at me with his rich brown eyes.
"Jasper." I say feeling a tingling sensation all around my body.
"It's so good to hear you say my name." He says, his eyes softening
"I've missed you."
"Not as much as I have."
I instantly hug him, the urge taking over me. I needed to feel loved, to feel protected, to feel his arms around me, tight. I had become even weaker than before, I needed him more. Like a drug, I was addicted, I was craving his presence. I hated it, but I knew I wanted him so badly.
"Jasper, I'm sorry-"I start to say, while the tears flow. But Jasper suddenly untangles himself from the hug and looks me in the eye. Both of his hand gripping my shoulders.
"Stop. " he wipes the tears from my face.
"I need you to know something." I stare at him, bewildered. But I nod my head for him to carry on.
"Remember the first time I met you? I sat next to you in our biology class, kissed you like an idiot and you humiliated me in front of everybody. You didn't know, but I watched you like a hawk since the very first day I even came into the school. I always knew you were special. That first kiss felt like heaven in a second. Ever since that day, I've been in love with you Emilia."
I shut my eyes tightly, I didn't know how to react. I didn't know If I loved Jasper, I didn't know what love was. Was Love the reason why I had always missed his presence when he was not next to me, or the reason why I always smiled when I saw him?
"And when you left me, I felt like crap. I went insane. I went partying and mixed with wrong crowd. I started plotting revenge plots, which somehow made you come back with me. I was just so hurt that you left me, even though I knew you had to. I didn't know you had taken over so much of my life, everything I did reminded me of you. I longed to hold you, every time I saw how sad and fragile you were, but then hated myself cause I knew I couldn't." The tears couldn't stop any more, they dropped onto the ground, racing one after the other. I could feel Jaspers gaze still on me. I looked up and saw that his eyes were red too.
"But I'm telling you this because I want you to know I still love you Emilia. Even though you left, I had still loved you. Even if you leave me again, I will never stop loving you. So don't say sorry. I need to say sorry. Sorry I put you through hell, sorry I made you choose between me or your family, sorry for not trying harder, sorr-" I couldn't stand it any longer and placed my lips on his.
This moment I had dreamed for so long, and now that it was finally happening I couldn't be more content. I knew I was in the wrong, but Jasper had put it all upon himself, and I couldn't I listen to him hating himself, cause it made me hate myself, for letting him ever get to that stage.
After our little intimate moment we started walking around the park, hand in hand, like it was supposed to be. Of course I knew that we couldn't stay like this, and in some time in the future I would have decide between Jasper or my family again, but this time I knew the answer, it was going to be Jasper. I would stick by him, and hopefully be able to defend myself too. My family needed me and I will never leave them, but if I let go of Jasper I would never be able to forgive myself.
"Emilia?" I look up from where my head was rested, on Jasper's chest. I could feel that his heart rate had suddenly quickened, he was going to tell me something big. He would only ever use my full name to tell me something bad.
"yeah?" I stare intently into his chocolatey brown eyes.
"I- I have to leave." he says, fiddling with lock of my hair.
"where-when- why?" I start backing away from him.
"I am going to go meet my mum. Her guys are going to transport me to where she is so I can have a proper conversation and then hopefully discuss leaving me alone." He says, his fingers entwined into mine.
"I'm coming too. "
"No. Your not coming. it's too dangerous. These guys have guns and muscle, they mean business. It takes just one wrong move, and I could lose you forever. " He looks away from my eyes.
"I am coming weather you like it or not, Jasper" I say, determined.
"No Emilia, this is my fight alone"Jasper hardens his tone.
I get up, hurt perplexed all over my face. I start to sprint back from where we were.
"Emilia? Emilia!" I hear Jasper cursing, probably tripping over a twig, then I feel a tightening grip on my elbow.
I turn around, scowling. I look all around but not to his face, the clouds, the trees, a little kid learning how to ride a bike, anywhere but the face.
"Emilia, look, I didn't mean to upset you."
"I know you didn't. But don't you see Jasper, I love you" I shout and immediately and regret it, as the boy who was learning how to ride a bike suddenly turns my way and his mother mutters something crossly to him.
"You do?" Jasper says, startled by my sudden declaration.
"Yes. I wasn't sure before, but now I am. I love you Jasper. Forever and always." I say, with every word pouring out of my heart.
"Finally. Did you catch that David? David?" I look at him, confusion knitted between my brows.
"David?"
"Yeah David. My brother, or should I say the guy who kidnapped you when you were doing your grocery. Ring a bell?"
A familiar muscual man approaches Jasper from behind a tree. He was the same person who threatened me and the same person who Jasper shouted at behind the bike shed.
"Jasper, what on earth is going on?" I say, my heart pounding, and this time it was not in a good way.
