Part 8- Future

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

It starts from childhood.

People ask you, what are you going to be when you grow up? Or do you want to be a teacher? Firefighter? Scuba diver? There are a bunch of choices that you could choose from. But have you thought of which path to take?

I kind of know which path to take.

I plan to finish college. Pursue writing. Move somewhere where that is an opportunity. Maybe get married (hope not). Live my life as a full time writer when I'm done my English teacher career. So... you see I kind of got things mapped out. But you know what? That kind of doesn't matter. I can want to be an astronaut and fly to Pluto! But some things are not meant to be. You know why? Because God has your future all planed out! He's just waiting for you to follow him and he will lead you down that road. He knows the best, so I'm kind of glad he's my life planner. Right?

I know that Jesus will not plan an evil life for me, I know he won't let me fall into Satan's grasp, I know that he won't let me lose hope, and I know that he will make sure I have a happy and successful life ahead of me. That's the cool thing about God. He is 100% dependent!

I don't know if all my author dreams will come true. I don't live in a fairy tale. But I do know that my life and future is in good hands. I'll be happy. God has a purpose for me and for everybody out there. So don't worry. Just take his hand. I promise you, that you'll be doing the right thing, and that you will live faithfully in his footsteps.

Dear God,

I don't know what you stored for me. I don't know and sometimes I'm worried and scared. But I will learn to trust in your choices for me. I know that your way is the best way. I pray, that everyone who loves you will earn that everlasting life, and be happy in Jesus. Please help anyone who is in doubt or in the darkness. Help them see the light of your power, and let them let you guide them down the right path, so Satan has no control over their lives, but you do.

Amen.
