So there's no verse today just a plain old reminder of the story we are living out.
I know we always feel like the life we're living is ours. What we do affects us, what we say affects us, and what we are affects us alone. But here's a little reminder, this life you're living should be for Christ. It's His story.
Think about it.
All we should do should praise the Lord, do His will, and point our deeds to Him. Everything is his. Now you might think, "Argh, now I have to let God control me? I don't want to let him control me! I want to make my own decisions! Sheesh!"
Let me tell you that is one of the reasons many people aren't Christians. They feel like if they commit to being a Christian all their freedom will be taken away from them. Not true. God gives us all the freedom we want. But if we use that freedom to do evil then that hurts Him very much and in the end we end up hurting ourselves also.
Our story should be pointed to Christ because our lives belong to Him. He loves us so much He wants to keep us in His hug forever but He gives us the freedom we want. I use that freedom for good. I praise my Lord for the freedom He gives me so I use my story to praise Him.
I can't wait to one day meet my Lord in the clouds. Just the thought gives me chills.
So I ask you with all my heart, give God your story and let HIM lead YOUR life so that you may be happy in His love. It's His Story.
