Hebrews 13:5 appears to be a quote of Deuteronomy 31:8 which says "It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
This is my first entry! I hope it brings you the hope you need in Jesus!
Have you ever felt left out? Or maybe even gossiped about?
I'm the new girl at my school. Even though everyone there is Christian, they can still be mean and make me feel left out or unwanted. On the first day of school, I met these three really nice girls. They introduced me to some people and showed me around. I was glad I had some people to talk to and just hang around with! Then one day they started acting weird around me. They started acting sarcastic, rude, and just pretended they were still interested in hanging out with me. I felt terrible. I thought I was left out of so many things! The worst part was that they ditched me on Skype. I cried in my sleep. I cried in my heart.
Then one day I looked up to the sky and remembered that I was not alone. I had Jesus Christ! The amazing God that died for my sins and never let me go! He was there all along! He watched over me and gave me the strength to carry on! I was so happy to have a friend! He was Jesus! How cool is that?
To be honest, just because you have Jesus doesn't mean all your problems will be solved! But the good news is, you have the strength to carry on through those difficult times! I still didn't get my old friends back, but somewhat I'm glad I didn't! Through that difficult time my eyes were opened to Jesus!
I don't stick to one group of people. I go around try to have a conversation, and just be myself. If they make fun of me I just laugh along! I stand up for myself, because you know what? I have Jesus on my side.
So the next time someone calls you fat, or makes fun of your accent, turn to God, smile back at them and hold on to God's promises... because our God is great... he'll get us through everything!
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for being with us all the time! Through all the trials of life, and school , you will always be with us and you will hold us in your hands. You are our salvation. You are our guide. Praise your name above all the earth!
Amen.
