"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.' Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord" 2 Corinthians 6:14-17

Very random subject but, I hurt my toe really badly. It's swollen and really hurts. Whenever something either touches it or I kick my toe by mistake, the healing process has to start all over again. Now, you might be wondering, "Um, what does this have to do with God or whatever?"

Well, I have the answer and it's really not that complicated.

My title is Keep Hurting, because whenever something interferes with my toe, it gets messed up. It keeps hurting because of the bad situations it has gone through.

This is just like our relationship with God. Whenever we ignore God's calling, or do something intentionally when we know it's wrong it messes up our toe and the healing process starts all over. Whenever sin comes in between you and God, the only way to fix that hurt is through Christ. Whenever my toe gets hurt, I have to soak it in water and add a moisture to heal it. It gets better every time I fix it. Our relationship with God will get stronger every time we "fix" our sins by repenting.

The only way for my toe to get better and heal is if I treat it every day.

If we want our relationship with Christ to be strong, then we need to fix that gap that's blocking us from God and his salvation and healing.

I tell you today, add that moisture to your life and hold on to God's tightrope and you will get the love and peace you don't deserve, but because of Jesus you did.

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for your healing hand. For your gift of love. For your spiritual relationship with us that we have to work with you to keep strong. I pray that every day we grow stronger in your love. That bad things won't separate us from you and won't keep hurting. But Lord, help them to teach us that there is only one way. One hope. You.

I love you so much Lord.

Amen.
