Jesse. Jesse!I look up to see Skylar look into my room. My room. I look around to see my room as a child. I haven't been here since William came to take me away.
I look up at her porcelain face, the way the icy winds and storms complement the beauty of her skin. Her eyes, bringing all the necessary colour to her face. Her lips a perfect deep red. The final touch to her beauty. She's mesmerising.
Yes Skylie.
She beams at me and looks down at her socks. She does that when she gets nervous.
Can I come in?
I stay silent only for a moment and stare at her. She looks up at me and meets my eyes expectantly.
Sure. Come here, it's freezing anyway.
She breathes out a sigh of relief and walks towards me and sits on the bed. I sit up and pull her towards me and place her in the blanket besides me. She relaxes into my body and holds me around my waist and lays in my arms. We stayed there in the perfect silence. Our breathing synchronising.
Jesse... She whispers she looks up at me.
Yes? I look down to her face.
Do you love me? She asks and looks down.
Of course I do, more than anything. I say forcing her to look back up at me.
She looked up at me with tears in her eyes and sit up.
Then why do you keep hurting me Jesse.
Tears starts rolling down her eyes and the bruises around her neck become visible, I look back up at her face and her lip has dried up blood in the corner but it's swollen.
What did I do to deserve this... She cries.
She keeps moving further and further and further away from me.
Come back here Skylar. My voice comes out deep, filled with anger.
She falls to her feet and cringes at the stinging tone in my voice.
No you'll just hurt me.
I get off my bed and storm to her. I pick her up by her throat and push her against the cold metal walls. All wounds gone from her face.
Why do you keep testing me Skylar! Dammit! I punch her in the face.
Her lip bursts open and the blood flows from it. She looks at me and her eyes soften.
Jesse, do you love me?
Of course I do Skylar. I mutter.
Then please stop hurting me.
She disappears into the silver of the walls. Her words weighing in the room.
Jesse wake up!
I try to open my eyes from the haze. Everything is blurred with the blistering cold bitting at my fingers.
We're going home. Finally we're going home. My eyes focus on my dad and I zoned out back into my haze.
She's become the essential part of my life, the reason I wake up with a smile on my lips. Her smile makes me fall into a state of euphoria, which I can't help but love. Has my heart bursting at the corners in the circle of love. She helps me become someone I would love to see. My utter chaotic bliss.
