Prologue:
I lay in the hospital bed, so very weak. My breaths came in short puffs. My parents sat beside, me, acting the parts of distressed parents. I knew better. They were heartless! They couldn't stand me!
I could feel my body weaken. My breathing slowed. The beeping slowed, and my eyelids grew heavy. I could feel death embrace me gently, but not taking me away from the life I lived. Not yet anyways.
That is when he asked me something. "I could help you take revenge on those who harmed you. But in return, you must promise me something."
"Anything." I whispered hoarsely.
"All will be revealed when I come to you, love."
"Okay." I breathed aloud. As the darkness began to take me, through my closed eyelids, I saw a flash of light. Then I knew no more.
