CH # 14

Chapter 14

I awoke and it was 2pm. Di had mind-linked me through the pack link, and told me that the food at work was cooked, packed and ready to go. She also told me that my daughters came over to care for the new kiddies and were gonna have dinner with us tonight, which means about 52 more people to feed. In total 56 people were gonna eat at my place tonight.

I groaned just as Nex's mobile phone rang. "Yeah." He answered.

I listened in shamelessly. "Father, it's Leon, I forgot to ring you for a while. Work has been rather hectic lately. The kids are getting restless. I have no idea why and then my work has been hectic at best."

I sighed, getting up. My stomach was growling. I was gonna head to work, to see how everything is going.

Later, after a quick delicious breakfast, I was dressed and ready to go. Nex was gonna escort me.

When I was at work, in my workplace, I checked things ever. I felt a sting from some sort of insect. But it was as I was squatting to look into the lower cabinets that I felt it. That I felt a warmth, like I just pissed myself, but when I looked at my white shorts, I didn't see a clear wetness, I saw a red wetness. I saw blood where I shouldn't be bleeding from.

"NEX!" My voice was high pitched, my vision began to go dark. The last thing I remember seeing before darkness, was Nex, and my family right behind him.

Beep...beep...beep...

A rhythmic beeping was starting to irritate me. It was then that I began to hear voices. Familiar ones.

"So your telling me, someone was trying to not only kill my unborn children, but there trying to kill my Tarnya?!" Nex sounded pissed.

"I believe so. She had enough of this poison to not only kill your unborn twins, but your mate also. I was just lucky she showed the outward signs of a poisoning. I was able to counteract that poison by having a fast blood transfusion." There was a pause. I frowned opening my eyes. All I saw was a hospital room. "We were lucky, but we need to keep her in overnight so we can keep an eye on her and her vitals."

They came in. Nex looked...rough. He looked stressed. But when he saw me away, he rushed over to my side and kissed the bejesus out of me. "Baby! Your okay!" His voice was gruff.

"Nex am I still pregnant?" I asked.

But it was before I heard what Nex could say, when my mind blanked, and darkness closed in around me.
