Abandonment lead to fear. This fear lead to hatred. Which lead to strength, or some would argue weakness. With strength came power, and with weakness came vulnerability, naivety, and suffering.
Aayla was abandoned. She felt fear. She felt hatred. And she was strong. Some saw her as weak. But she was powerful. But with her power came her vulnerability. She was broken, and therefore weak.
A return brought her a bond, it brought her a life, and it brought her education, power, and adventure. At the same time it brought her pain, suffering, and a path towards the Dark Side.
Aayla was broken. But she was getting stronger. More powerful. But with power, comes destruction. And she had to choose.
