"You need to see this. I've only seen it once before."

Pain shot through her shoulder as she dodged another bolt from the training droid. The blast tore through her shirt and singed the skin, blood dampening the jagged hole around it.

"Master Windu I-", she cuts herself off as she senses the droid coming around her, and she lifts his lightsaber, deflecting the blast that very nearly singed her hair.

She rolls to the side and brings the lightsaber to her back, deflecting another blast that could've attacked her spine. Sweat was dripping down her forehead, her limbs were aching and she begged for a break. But something told her she would not get it for a while. She'd already been there nearly three hours training with the droid and listening to the defence skills from Master Windu.

"Focus, Aayla." Master Windu orders, the girl gains her strength and findsthe urge to jump to her right, dodging a blast and finding her feet. The helmet no longer blinded her, it just halted her. All she needed were her senses.

The droid floats behind her and she halts, feeling it's movement, and timing her reactions to it. It makes a jolt towards her and she feels her body jump, over the droid, and the lightsaber comes crashing down onto the metal ball, splitting the droid in half, the two parts landing with a thunk on the floor.

Aayla catches her breath before removing her helmet, the saber blade releasing back into the handle. She drops the helmet and stares at the dead droid on the floor. Shock beholds her face as she looks over at Master Windu, leaning forward on his knees on the comfy chair.

"I-I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. I don't know what came over me." She begins to apologise, holding the lightsaber close to her chest, so as to not ignite it without meaning to.

Master Windu holds up a finger to silence her, and she does as she's told. Anxiety courses through her veins as she awaits his verdict on her destruction.

"You're a fast learner, Kenobi." Windu tells her, leaning forwards on his knees, further than she thought he could lean forward.

"I guess I am." Aayla mumbles, looking down at the weapon in her hands. She felt complete holding it, as if she were destined to hold something this powerful.

"Interesting." Is all Master Windu says at her words, and he holds his hand out, Aayla feeling the lightsaber float out of her grasp at speed and enter the hands of the Jedi Master in front of her.

"I think it's necessary to push forward with your training. You learn quicker than the rest, and I have no doubt you'll become a Jedi in little time." He tells her, walking over to the wall and picking up an iron bar.

She watches his movements closely, listening to the words he tells her. A fast learner. Soon to become a Jedi. Quicker than the rest. She didn't know she was different, even this different.

Windu throws the bar to her and she catches it effortlessly, and he gives her a close look as he watches her reflexes. Something about her seemed different. Different to any other Padawan learner. It was peculiar, and he had no idea how to feel. Anxiety was strong with him.

"What am I doing with this?" She asks, weighing up the bar in her hands, feeling the cold coming off of it and changing to warmth with her body heat.

"I'm going to teach you how to attack and defend. You'll be fighting me for the next few hours." Windu tells her, and he ignites his lightsaber, the purple light shining onto his dark skin.
