"For everything you gain, you lose something else."
"We came in a Starship, originally from here, if you'd like to take that?" Jed asks Anakin and Padmé, everyone walking around grabbing last minute essentials for the journey, and making sure everyone was prepared.
"That'll be perfect, thank you Jeddak." Padmé tells him, closing her own suitcase and placing it on the floor in the dining room.
Aayla had brought very little with her, the most important belongings being the clothes she was wearing, and the lightsaber she made. Everything else was a luxury.
Anakin grabs his own suitcase, his cloak over his arm. He runs a hand over his head before looking over at everyone, all awaiting his order.
"Where's R2?" Padmé asks, looking around. Aayla follows her eyes, unsure of what she's looking for.
"R2 is here?" Jed asks, obvious excitement growing on his face. Aayla looks at him, confused at his reaction.
A blue and white astromech appears from one of the rooms, beeping away at them as it rolls into the room.
"Yeah, you're coming with us." Anakin tells the droid. Aayla looks at the small droid, smiling at its simplicity and obvious friendship with Anakin.
"R2!" Jed shouts, and the droid rolls over to him, beeping happily as Jed bends down to talk to the droid. Aayla was surprised at his ability to understand it. She hadn't had many run ins with droids to learn to understand their language.
"Oh, Aayla this is R2-D2. He's been assigned to my mission. R2, this is Aayla Kenobi." Anakin says, introducing the two to each other. The droid beeps and Anakin sighs.
"Yes, Kenobi. Now make yourselves acquainted with each other, we need to go." Anakin tells the astromech, his patience growing thin.
The droid rolls away from Jed and up to Aayla, beeping away.
"Nice to meet you, R2." She smiles, patting the droid on the top. R2 beeps happily, and looks at Anakin.
"He says it's nice to meet you too. There's another thing we will have to teach you." Anakin chuckles, realising that translating for the droid and Aayla was going to be some kind of problem the longer it went on.
"Okay, lets go."
Anakin leads the way out of the lake house and down the stone steps towards the pontoon, where the small boat they all arrived in and took that day in the meadows was.
Jed and Anakin place all the suitcases in the boat, and allow the two women to get in first. Aayla sighs, not entirely wanting to leave such a beautiful place of serenity, but she knew they had to help Anakin. It was the right thing to do.
The boat starts moving towards the ship Aayla and Jed took her, the monochrome metal reflecting the suns light even in the shadows of the trees that surrounds it.
Aayla could feel Anakin's inner torment, the pain and agony seething from him at the thought of his mother being in pain. She hadn't known him very long, but she hated seeing him like this. Or seeing anyone suffer like this, for that matter.
The boat comes to a stop and Anakin helps Padmé off, Jed giving Aayla a hand as well. They take their suitcases and Jed leads the way to the ship.
